Weigh or count items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards. Requires bending, walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling, twisting, grasping, pushing and pulling. Lift up to 60 lbs. Boxes and packages range in size depending on the combination of products ordered by the customer. Drives material handling equipment to transport stored items within the warehouse. May prepare parcels for mailing. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends when necessary. The Meat Packer will be responsible for packing and preparing various cuts of meat for distribution for Baldor's Protein division. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities: * Inspect and pack various cuts of meat according to customer orders. * Ensure all meat is properly labeled and packaged for distribution. * Operate machinery and equipment to prepare meat for packaging. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Properly weighing, labeling and naming each package of meat as instructed * Learn the names and packaging required for cuts of meat * Work as a team member and learn the skills to work at all areas in the meat packing area. * Adhere to company Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP). Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Experience in butcher/meat distribution. * Ability to read labels and record weights of product. * Basic math skills- adding, subtracting and multiplying. * Experience in packaging products. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately. Ability to count, grab, stack, and place filters onto conveyors (or in poly bags) in a manner which maintains quality standards and production speeds. Ability to follow verbal or written direction. Ensure the correct bags for the job are being used; when necessary, load the correct bags onto the tray Verify the filters are centered in the bag as they are discharged from the auto bagger Verify the lot number and time stamp are on the bags. When the bags are discharged from the auto bagger, ensure they are straight and upright so they feed properly into the auto sealer. Remove unbagged filters from the conveyor belt (to the sealer) and place the filters into the recycle bin. If the sealer belt breaks, turn off the auto bagger and sealer. Advise the lead person and the machine operator to shut off the machine. Ability to place the correct amount of finished units into the master. Ability to sit or stand for eight hours.
