Constructs cardboard cartons to contain finished products manufactured, ensuring that proper carton is being utilized to hold products from bins.
Visually inspects product for proper print and seal through plastic bag or in bulk form prior to bagging. Periodically open random logs of product to perform close visual inspection.
Performs quality control by opening random bags of product to perform a close visual inspection along with notifying Production Leader or Production Equipment Operator immediately of any quality defects.
Packs product into cartons while ensuring that the correct number of bags of product is packed based on order specifications or manually counts the amount product going into the bag if hand-bagging.
Properly seal the carton and apply proper stamping and label(s) while making certain that stamp is legible and the correct code date is on each carton.
Move the packed cartons of finished product to the designed stacking area and then place the stacks of cartons together in the correct configuration in preparation for pick-up by the forklift operator.
Sets aside defective product for re-work or scrapping while making certain that no defective product is shipped to the customer.
Work at an efficient and safe pace to keep packing bins or stacking tubes clear.
Assures a smooth flow of product through the packing process by responding to any product jams (bells, buzzers or lights), clearing the product jam and restarting the equipment properly and safely.
Follow safety procedures when starting, shutting down, un-jamming or tying the tail on a bagger.
Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements and sanitation guidelines rectify and or report any and all non-compliance to Management along with maintaining a high level of personal hygiene.
Assists other team members as required, without being asked. Attend meetings as required.
Maintain housekeeping standards by keeping work area clean at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Directing of personnel to distribute daily work assignments

Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for a Courier/Packer for the Tinley Park, IL site.
The Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of water, soil and air samples to and from the service center and the University Park laboratory using a company vehicle. Only a portion of the work week will involve driving. There are a variety of other duties including helping at the lab with sample login and disposal, preparing bottle kits and cleaning and lifting sample coolers up to 50 lbs.
Courier responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
Responsible for quality control of all assignment and completing documents
Following and enforcing company health and safety policies.
Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance.
Will assist with data collection and routine sampling as needed

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Directing of personnel to distribute daily work assignments
· Oversee the packing team to ensure efficient workflow, monitor productivity, line assignments, and delegate tasks to meet production targets.
· Oversee that all plastic lids are inspected for defects, correct sizing, and compliance with quality standards before packing.
· Oversee the proper packing of lids into cartons or other packaging materials, ensuring they are sealed and labeled correctly for shipment.
· Keep track of packing materials such as boxes, tape, labels, and other supplies, and coordinate with the warehouse or purchasing team to ensure adequate stock.
· Train new team members on packing procedures, safety protocols, and use of equipment. Provide ongoing coaching to improve team performance.
· Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on packing equipment such as sealers, labelers, and conveyors. Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and coordinate any required maintenance.
· Ensure that packing operations comply with health and safety regulations, including safe lifting techniques, machine operation protocols, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure that packed lids are correctly organized and staged for shipment, matching shipping documentation.
· Identify opportunities to streamline packing processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
