Key Responsibilities:
* Verify correct quality, color, and size of product
* Clean product to be packaged
* Load skids and protect product
* Crate finished goods
* Fill out shipment info forms
* Fill out and attach shipping labels
* Assist press and saw operations as needed.
* Complete necessary paperwork.
* Fill out DMN.
* Assist other departments as necessary
* Read work orders and follow instructions
* Frequently asks production area if they need help.
* Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.

Properly packs parts in correct pin/storage container per packaging instructions to meet customer requirements. Ensures proper labeling requirements are followed. Uses personal computer (PC), Plex system, keyboard, and mouse.
Completes on-line work center and operator inspection sheets to verify process are stable and all visual inspection and gage requirements are being met.
Visually inspects parts from previous operation per Challenge Manufacturing quality standards to ensure proper form, fit, and function. Ensures customer and Challenge Manufacturing quality standards are met per gage instructions, first piece inspection approval, problem containment processes, quality alerts and other quality standards called out in the Challenge Manufacturing Quality Policy and/or Plex System specific for each work center.

- Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtime
- Perform mathematical calculations as needed
- Complete hourly quality checks to ensure high quality products are produced
- Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading them
- Interact with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiency
- Attend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled times
- Measure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other technicians
- Crosstrain in other areas to support operations during downtimes

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
- Exposure to high-speed production or basic maintenance is preferred
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
- Effective communication skills both face to face and over the radio
- Forklift experience is highly preferred
- Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to alternately sit, stand, push, pull and walk all day, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift and move high volume units per day, each weighing 50 lbs. + with or without a reasonable accommodation
