The position has a flexible schedule of either a Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Responsibilities: Loading Petroleum products at refineries, ethanol plants, and bulk storage facilities. Unloading Petroleum products at numerous customer locations such as gas stations, airports, refineries, and bulk storage facilities. Ability to pump on and off petroleum and ethanol products using a Power Take Off. Dropping, hooking and connecting trailers to semi-truck. This includes manually raising and lowering dolly legs on the trailer with up to 50 pounds of torque resistance. Hooking up hoses and fittings to load and unload these Petroleum products safely and securely. Checking customer tank levels prior to unloading to make sure tanks do not fill past 90% ullage. Operates a tractor/trailer combination to transport agriculture products, feed commodities and livestock; drives local haul. Perform the protocol established for loading/unloading distillers/synergy. Follows all regulations and laws, maintaining DOT and DMV standards with regards to safe transport. Completes pre- and post-trip inspections, checking for defects. Checks all equipment including lights, brakes, tires, etc. Replenishes fluids such as fuel, oil and water. Maintains a daily driver's log in compliance with Company policy and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and adheres to such. Assists in loading and unloading of product. Ensures accurate records regarding headcount and weights. All drivers will be responsible for all paperwork associated with their task at hand such as swine, cattle, distillers, Synergy etc. Deliver to the location that you are instructed. Ensure adequate inventory of parts, tires, and service materials. Keep the truck service sheds clean, organized and efficient. Check all incoming distillers/Synergy for the quality of product and report the status. Complete appropriate paperwork. Coordinate deliveries with the office and the dispatcher.
