PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Quality Manager is member of the technical team responsible for ensuring our processes are capable of consistently delivering products that meet our customers' exact requirements. The position specifically manages all plant quality personnel, testing equipment, lab operations, our ISO 9001 certification, and customer interaction with regard to quality. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership in prior roles and will continue to develop leadership skills in this role.
Reports to: Plant Technical Lead
Span of Control: All manufacturing processes and products of Sedalia Plant, including Quality Lab operations and personnel, accountable for third party and ISO audits, coordination of the quality management system, and handling of all customer complaints.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure all practices and procedures within job scope are safe, environmentally compliant, and permit compliant
Technical Excellence and Process Optimization (60%)
* Owns all aspects of quality at the local level - Quality Lab operations, personnel, procedures, and asset management
* Understand current manufacturing process capability, drive to reduce variation, and ensure product quality and consistency to improve the overall customer experience
* Aid in continuously improving manufacturing productivity.
* Ensures nonconforming products are not shipped to our customers and contributes to root cause analysis.
* Participate in the charter, scope development, and execution of projects in the laboratory and the process.
* Ensure that all customer complaints are recorded, communicated plant-wide and thoroughly investigated (root cause analysis), promptly addressed with customers, and eliminate repetitive complaints
* Promote a data-driven approach to all quality and process related problems
* Ensure that all plant quality testing equipment is appropriately calibrated and testing methods are followed.
* Facilitate quality related training to ensure understanding of customer requirements, process variables, SPC procedures and practices
* Actively participate in the quality network and be a conduit for best practice sharing in the plant with respect to product quality and service.
* Manage the ISO 9001 system to ensure the plant maintains certification.
* Lead the QM pillar when the plant is ready to launch.
Knowing Our Customer (20%)
* Understand and communicate customer expectations to employees through effective use of product specifications, standard work, control plans, routine reporting, and quality alerts
* Ensure standard processes are defined and in place that will reliably provide products that meet customer performance expectations
* Facilitate a culture to develop, maintain, and continuously improve customer relationships.
* Drive understanding of customer requirements and the relationship to plant process variables to ensure that products meet the customer FFU at all times.
* Partner with OC Sales to stay current with customer needs, product performance in the field, and opportunities for expanded product offerings or performance.
Leading and Developing Talent (20%)
* Create and sustain a culture where all talent is developed through effective technical training and provide appropriate feedback on individual performance and talent evaluation.
* Act as Development Coach when appropriate and mentor other Development Coaches for early career development participants, creating the appropriate developmental experience and assuring the program outcome is achieved
* Identify and provide training and development opportunities for direct reports (lab personnel)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred or 3+ years in a leadership role
EXPERIENCE:
* Three years of experience in a laboratory environment desired.
* Experience in acid digestion and other glass testing desired.
* Experience in developing and auditing technical specifications.
* Proven results in driving product and process improvement in the manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Utilizing data systems and analysis skills to eliminate losses and unnecessary costs
* Minitab (or substitute) statistical analysis experience

POSITION SCOPE
The Heavy Haul Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting oversize and overweight equipment to the job sites. We are looking for a Fence Construction Foreman that not only wants to have a job but to have a long term career. Pay is $26.00 to $33.00 per hour depending on experience. This position is responsible for installing permanent fence, running a fence crew and working with customers to resolve concerns. Successful candidates must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Job Duties include:
Verify that all parts, materials and tools needed for project installation are loaded on the truck prior to going to the assigned job site.
Make decisions on how to conduct the installation of the project including where to install the terminations based on boundaries.
Discuss fencing needs with customers and get clarification on specifications when needed.
Prepare the site area for installation of the fence including removal of rocks, bushes, or other obstacles from designated fence path when needed verifying that it is part of the contract.
Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, shop drawings, blueprints or specifications.
Align posts, using lines or by sighting, and verify vertical alignment of posts, using plumb bobs or spirit levels.
Locate, understand markings, and follow requirements for underground utility safety prior to digging.
Dig postholes, using skid steer, dandy digger, jackhammer, core drill, gas or manual post hole diggers.
Set posts in upright positions in postholes.
Mix and pour concrete around bases of posts, or tamp soil into postholes to embed posts.
Assemble and install custom ornamental iron fences and gates on customer property.
Nail top and bottom rails to fence posts, or insert them in slots on posts.
Stretch wire, wire mesh, or chain link fencing between posts, and attach fencing to frames.
Attach fence rail supports to posts, using hammers and pliers.
Assemble gates, and fasten gates into position, using hand tools and welder.
Complete top fence rails of metal fences by connecting tube sections, using metal sleeves.
Insert metal tubing through rail supports.
Attach rails or tension wire along bottoms of posts to form fencing frames.
Assemble any custom iron fence order on site using hand and power tools.
Add to or change the specifications of the installation based on input of the customer or as needed based on the confines of the environment.
Install any privacy slats (horizontal and vertical) or privacy panels as required per specifications.
Ensure the specifications for the site have been met by the crew and/or subcontractors.
Complete administrative tasks such as collection of signatures from all work performed, employee time sheets, and other paperwork.
Removal, loading, transportation, and disposal of old fence at site as required.
Drive company truck to customer sites and back to branch following DOT regulations.
Complete gate tags with gate specifications and submit to shop for gate fabrication.
Operate forklift, scissor lift, reach lift, skid steer and attachments for loading and unloading of trucks, installation of fences, or moving materials on company property or at job sites.
Inspect and complete safety checklist for all equipment, power tools, and machinery prior to each use.
Follow company and government safety/health rules and regulations.

POSITION SCOPE
