Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, Oregon, is the only college on the West Coast that offers fine arts degrees in Craft-Art. Craft-Art encompasses such hand-built art practices as: * Ceramics * Metals * Woodworking OCAC also offers concentrations in Painting and Drawing and Photography. Designed for the novice, the intermediate-level student and the budding professional, OCAC awards bachelor's and master's degrees in Fine Art, as well as a professional certificate. No matter which level of study a student pursues, the training is intensive and focused as students spend their days crafting, painting and creating in OCAC's studios. Student life is also designed to support students in their artistic practice, as students and faculty alike exhibit their work in the school art galleries. Admissions requirements vary depending on the prospective program of study, with all applicants required to submit an application and a portfolio of art work. OCAC does its best to meet student's financial need, supplying school-based scholarships, which are based on artistic talent and financial need, as well as need-based federal grants and loans. Those who are not eligible for these aid sources or who require additional aid may also obtain information from OCAC about how and where to apply for outside scholarships.
