Essential Duties
Partners with the Executive Director of Advanced Practice and APP Manager to lead the work of other CRNAs.

Partners with the APP Manager to conduct annual performance evaluations for CRNAs.
Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient by obtaining an appropriate health history.
Administers anesthesia and monitors patients during outpatient procedures.
Implements, monitors, and adjusts patient's physiologic condition as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and specific patients' needs.
Transfers the responsibility for the care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
Supports Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Center procedures.
Initiates the anesthetic technique, which may include regional, local, and sedation.
Selects, obtains, and administers the anesthetic, adjuvant, and accessory drugs and fluids necessary to manage the anesthetic.
Selects, applies, and inserts appropriate non-invasive and invasive monitoring modalities.
Manages a patient's airway and pulmonary status.
Implements acute and chronic pain management modalities.
Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids and drugs, and using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
Acts as a resource to pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia nurses.
Participates in Quality meetings to identify improvements.
Partners with the Medical Director to formulate generalized care plans for all procedures performed in MIDC.
Partners with supervising anesthesiologist to formulate appropriate care plans for patients undergoing procedures.
Brings to the attention of supervising anesthesiologist any concerns regarding general and acute health of patients and how it may affect clinical outcomes of anesthetics and procedures.
Serves as communication liaison between Medical Director and CRNA staff regarding all clinical and administrative issues and concerns.

This position performs ultrasound examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures that require independent judgment, appropriate technical skills in ultrasonography, and a commitment to patient safety, all of which are considered requisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the position as a sonographer.
Essential Functions:
Performs high quality US imaging studies by selecting specific software parameters that will produce a quality image for use by radiologists in their determination of a diagnosis. Operates US equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses such as fluid accumulations. Observes equipment monitor during imaging scan to ensure that the image produced is of diagnostic quality, making adjustments to the equipment as required. Selects appropriate equipment settings and adjusts patient positions to obtain the best sites and angles. (40%)
Operates, on a day-to-day basis, PACS applications to include: archiving activities; image auto-routing and pre-fetching tasks; image quality assurance; and other related activities. Uses Radiology Information System (RIS) system to input patient examination data and to place patient orders (as appropriate). (10%)
Ensures patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines to include use of 2 patient identifiers. Prepares patient for an ultrasound study by explaining the study, transferring this individual to the examination table, applying gel, and positioning the patient appropriately for the US study. (20%)
Verifies the physician order and relevant patient's history in the medical chart. Prior to performance of an US examination, consults with the relevant radiologist to obtain a written imaging study protocol. (10%)
Documents, as appropriate, all pertinent information on clinical questionnaires. The sonographer scans all relevant clinical information into the PACS, assigns prioritization box for the radiologists' work list, and then transmits current (and comparison images, when applicable) to the PACS. (5%)
Assists in the maintenance of department inventory by ordering, stocking, and performing inventory checks on those medical supplies utilized when performing US examinations. Consistent availability of requisite US medical supplies indicate exceeds standard. (5%)
Maintains imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests; results of all cleanings and tests are documented, as appropriate. Contacts service personnel and notifies supervisory staff of equipment malfunctions. (5%)
Maintains a clean and orderly working environment through wiping down examination tables, changing linens, stocking supplies, and washing/disinfecting US equipment. (5%)
Education:
Completion of two-year hospital or college accredited by the American Medical Association

What You'll Need:

What You'll Do:
General, Regional (Epidural/Spinal/Peripheral), MAC anesthesia will be provided Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After hours, weekends and holidays are provided on an on call basis.
Emergency surgical procedures, which require the services of a CRNA, will be covered on an on-call basis, 24 hours per day, and seven (7) days per week throughout the year. A CRNA will be available for anesthetic requirements within 20 minutes of notification. Call will rotate between all CRNA's on medical staff (1/5 rotation with new hire). The CRNA is available to all departments of the hospital for emergency procedures involved with the practice of anesthesia.
Therapeutic procedures for acute and chronic pain may be performed by a CRNA. When necessary, members of the Department of Anesthesia may assist in the management of acute or chronic respiratory failure or insufficiency as requested by the attending physician, or other procedures requested by the referring/attending physician.
Each member of the Department of Anesthesia is responsible for the completion of all duties required or assigned by the hospital or the medical staff in providing anesthesia supportive care.
The CRNA is to provide appropriate pre anesthetic and post anesthetic management of the patient. The individual in this roll will provide consultation relative to various other forms of patient care, such as respiratory therapy, emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the special problems of pain relief.
Perform and properly document all pre, intra and post-operative notes and care on the anesthetic record or pre anesthetic evaluation sheet

What You'll Do:
General, Regional (Epidural/Spinal/Peripheral), MAC anesthesia will be provided Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After hours, weekends and holidays are provided on an on call basis.
Emergency surgical procedures, which require the services of a CRNA, will be covered on an on-call basis, 24 hours per day, and seven (7) days per week throughout the year. A CRNA will be available for anesthetic requirements within 20 minutes of notification. Call will rotate between all CRNA's on medical staff (1/5 rotation with new hire). The CRNA is available to all departments of the hospital for emergency procedures involved with the practice of anesthesia.
Therapeutic procedures for acute and chronic pain may be performed by a CRNA. When necessary, members of the Department of Anesthesia may assist in the management of acute or chronic respiratory failure or insufficiency as requested by the attending physician, or other procedures requested by the referring/attending physician.
Each member of the Department of Anesthesia is responsible for the completion of all duties required or assigned by the hospital or the medical staff in providing anesthesia supportive care.
The CRNA is to provide appropriate pre anesthetic and post anesthetic management of the patient. The individual in this roll will provide consultation relative to various other forms of patient care, such as respiratory therapy, emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the special problems of pain relief.
