POSITION OVERVIEW

Summary/Objective:
Production Operator supports complex automatic production machinery and equipment with the goal of maintaining high standards of company policies in safety, product quality, machine productivity, efficiency and continual improvement, while maintaining superior workplace organization, cleanliness, and teamwork.
Essential Functions:
Strict adherence to company safety, operational procedures and policies.
Proper monitoring and operation of the machinery and various support processes based on training and documented operating procedures.
Machine set-up, operation, and clean-up, the use of powered support machinery, such as crane, fork truck, powered pallet jack, mixing equipment.
Proper knowledge and use of powered and unpowered hand tools including but not limited to, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, routers, circular saw, table saws and the like.
Proper handling and mixing of chemicals and solvents related to the day-to-day operation of the equipment, maintenance and clean up procedures.
Assure the quality of raw materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products.
Cross training of new and existing employees with the support of supervision, engineering, quality, etc.
Data collection, problem solving
