Performs all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
Moves levers and depresses pedals to control operation, function and movement of machine
Feels lever and listens for stalling action of engine to operate equipment most efficiently
Cleans equipment as scheduled
Ensures equipment is safely and securely parked and stored
Maintains equipment by greasing properly and checking fluids daily (oils, coolant, fuel level)
Performs daily checks on equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
Notifies shop foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school OR six months of related experience and/or training
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Able to pass practical skills test for heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and loaders
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Problem solving
Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
Two years of related experience and/or training
Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operator will conduct all receiving and shipping operations of raw materials as well as finish products at the Manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate and contribute in Health & Safety, Security and Environmental activities (SAFE meetings, Behavioral Based Survey observer, Health Safety & Environment training, Housekeeping, 5S) Also follow regulatory shipping requirements.
* Receive in-coming raw material and ship out-going finish goods. This includes waste management in the accumulation area.
* Follow and execute operational procedures - activities such as verification of incoming & outgoing shipments, identification & disposition of returned material, damaged material or obsolete material.
* Conduct cycle counting of warehouse inventory.
* Address Purchasing raw material discrepancies and solve problems.
* Conduct physical inventory of warehouse inventory.
* Interface with Customer Service, Purchasing and Production to ensure proper support of sales activities.

The primary challenge associated with this position is the level of raw material complexity and inventory accuracy. The opportunities to analyse, understand and streamline the various processes involved are numerous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working conditions will consist of a paint factory environment that has the potential of exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, heat and noise (ranges 75db to 85db). The job entails intimate interaction with high speed, moving, heated and cooled equipment. Several pinch-points exist. The employee will regularly have to work around moving forklifts, coating factory equipment (such as mixing equipment, pumps, filling equipment, etc.). It is an indoor job in a semi-air-conditioned building, largely protected from outside weather conditions.
Physical requirements are standing for periods of time, sitting, working on a computer, walking, writing, kneeling, crouching and climbing stairs. The employee must have good hearing and good vision, including peripheral vision and depth perception, to determine proper fit and operation of parts and equipment and product cleanliness to eliminate sources of product contamination in the clean-up process. The employee must also be able to perform the following tasks:
* Ability to work at ease from elevated platforms and access stairways.
* Occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 550 Lbs. or up to 100 Lbs. with assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all phases of setting up and operating machinery (flexo folder gluer, rotary die cutter). The Operator is also responsible for productivity, quality, and waste.
Set up, operate, and monitor machines.
Act as the leader for the crew in training process.
Mount printing and cutting dies to cylinder/shaft.
Mix and adjust ink viscosity.
Perform quality checks on each order.
Verify material based on customer requirements, prior to running.
Work with team to meet daily goals.
Accurately record production data into computer daily.
Perform routing preventative maintenance and housekeeping.
Follow all process and procedures in place with safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years' experience as a machine operator.
Strong knowledge in troubleshooting machinery.
Strong safety background, good attendance record, and excellent communication skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to understand, execute, and provide verbal and written instructions.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong computer skills with the ability to accurately complete all required computer/paperwork tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime, and limiting waste.
Assume active role in all plant and facilities related work.
Assist all jobs on the plant floor.
Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
Conduct quality checks to ensure boxes have required dimensions and zero material defects.
Responsible for leading machine crew with set-up and change overs.
Problem solving skills required to resolve problems with the machine.
May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
