**As a Summer Co-op you will:**
+ Gain knowledge in executing operational plans and projects, including DMS (Daily Management Systems) for day-to-day operations, QMS (Quality Management Systems), new equipment and software startups, and innovative product qualifications.
+ Participate in AGILE project management and lead the verification and testing of Manufacturing software and applications.
+ Influence software capabilities to achieve six sigma quality performance and enhance Quality Management System.
+ Assist with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation and Lean activities, including participation in Continuous Improvement or Kaizen events and developing, implementing and improving autonomous and preventive maintenance workstreams.
+ Assist in root cause analysis and execute on corrective actions

+ Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a challenging, cross functional team environment
+ Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders

**Requirements:**
+ Must be an undergraduate currently enrolled in a full-time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in STEM, Engineering, Food Science or another related field
+ Available to work 40 hours per week (M-F, 8am-5pm)
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines

About this Role
FiberTel is looking to hire outstanding Travel Heavy Equipment Operators. In this role you will be responsible for the safe transportation of materials and equipment. He/she will load and unload equipment and material as needed. This position will also, safely and skillfully operate and maintain construction equipment (cable plows, backhoe, mini excavator, skid steer, rock saw, and other utility construction equipment). Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
One (1) year of experience comparable to an Integrated Waste Equipment Operator with the City of Sacramento.
OR
One (1) year of experience in the operation of a two or three-axle vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 30,000 pounds or more.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Driver License:
Possession of a valid California Class B Driver License without the Air Brake restriction is required at the time of appointment, and is a condition of continued employment. Loss of the Class B License and/or Air Brake restriction is a cause for discipline. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to physical disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Assessment:
If considered for appointment, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Physical Requirements:

Primary Duties:

Minimum Qualifications
Five years of full-time paid experience in landfill and/or road construction work operating heavy equipment, such as dozers, wheeled or track loaders and backhoes, landfill compactors, articulated haul trucks, motor graders, wheeled or track excavators, and scrapers or earth-movers.
Note: If the word “experience” is referenced in the minimum qualifications, it means full-time paid experience unless the minimum qualification states that volunteer experience is acceptable. Part-time paid experience may be accumulated and pro-rated to meet the total experience requirements.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
