    General Overview: Quality Control will be responsible for performing the daily operations of the Quality Laboratory, a facility that includes wet processing equipment for raw sand and dry processing equipment for processed sand. Responsibilities: Performs quality testing of sand materials and keeps accurate records of results. Performs auditing and inspection activities in order to ensure that quality targets are met for all finished Alpine Silica sand product shipped to customers. Provides direct lab support to Production Manager and may assists with day-to-day operations of Loadout. Prepares sand samples as needed. Communicates quality-problems to plant management. Analyzing, identifying and communicating problematic trends, e.g. recurring first pass issues. Establishes testing procedures and protocols for quality control and may provide training to Lab Technicians/Loadout Operators, who sample, test and document materials that are mined, processed or shipped. Focuses on creating a safety culture that utilizes safe work practices, maintaining a safe and clean work area. Complies with all company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent minimally required; four-year degree or a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a Quality Control position or lab, preferred.
