The Production Operator is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the inputs and create the final high-quality final products. There are a variety of sub-classifications within the Operator job family that could range in specific duties from receiving and handling the raw materials, adding value through a variety of proprietary processes, to packaging the final product. In all stages of production safety, attention to detail, a quality and sanitation focus, and efficiency are key to the success of the operation.

Properly identify outside binds and use the proper pallets.

Continuously monitor job to ensure customer requirements are met.
Fill out skid logs and place back in job bag when complete.
Fill in required information in the communication log book.
Ensure the entire production area is clean and organized.
Set up Stacker to produce maximum bundle quality and stack the product correctly on the pallet to minimize product damage.

The Boiler Operator II is responsible for proficient maintenance related to HVAC and mechanical systems, electrical and plumbing, and safety inspections. Adheres to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any and all non-compliance to Management or the SQF practitioner immediately.

Ensures that only quality food safe production enters the packing room by constantly monitoring the quality of the product being made and stopping deviations immediately. This requires continuous standing and frequent working to perform these tasks.
Preforms all assigned line checks of product as it is being produced and all assigned quality tests to measure the quality of the product as it is produced. This will require the handling of the product to inspect for defects; after product is inspected it is disregarded as scrap.
Alert the Shift Supervisor and Quality Assurance of any product that deviates from standard and will require an audit.
Diagnose machine problems. Repairs and maintains assigned machines with a sense of urgency. Maintains suggested cycle setting on assigned machines to ensure production quality (suggested cycle is where that machine has run the highest quality product at the highest efficiency.)
Responds with a sense of urgency to all defective cups the Packers, Packing Tech or Quality Assurance brings to his /her attention.
Maintains safe and clean work area at all times in compliance with all GMP's.
Competencies:
The Machine Operator is typically responsible for 1 to 1 ½ machine lines with 4-5 machines per line. Styrofoam bead are fed into the fabrication/ mold machines, the cups are molded and automatically ejected onto the conveyor line. The cycle for the process is set by the machine operator.
The Machine Operator is responsible for the constant visual and manual inspection of cups as they are fabricated and makes adjustments in the programming box as needed.
Twice in a 12-hour shift, cups are specifically inspected with a micrometer. This is also preformed after every change of a mold.
The Machine Operator is responsible to perform dunk testing and quality checks
Light Machine repair and inspection will be performed at a 33 inch high table using hand tools. For major repairs or part replacements, components are taken to a parts room which is maximally 50 yards from the machine lines.
Physical Demands:
Work an 12+ hour shift while sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, use hands to finger, grasp with hands and arms, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and lifting throughout the entire shift.
Requires the manual movement of cases of finished goods that weight up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Exposed to extreme heat. In-doors in a manufacturing environment that is not air conditioned.
Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
Wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.
Work an 8+ or 12+ hour day shift
Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime.

In the event of the absence of the Production Equipment Operator due to vacations the Shift Supervisor will request a Production Equipment Operator fill in from another shift

Qualifications

The Loader Operator / Yard Person reports directly to the General Manager and are responsible for the safe and proper handling, loading, and storing of materials, the appropriate care and maintenance of equipment, and general housekeeping of plant property and premises.

Requirements
Safely and efficiently operate a rubber-tire-front-end loader to lift, transport, and load bulk materials to and from various areas of the plant property.
Perform and document daily equipment inspections of the rubber-tire front-end loader.
Perform regular preventative maintenance of the rubber-tire front-end loader.
Keep the rubber-tire front-end loader clean both inside and outside.
Load materials for customers as requested onto trailers.
Must be 18 years or older.
Experience preferred.
