This position is expected to work out of our site located at 2435 East Weber Avenue, Stockton, CA 95205 and limited job-related travel may be required. Position Summary: GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Baler Operator to provide support to one or more facilities. This role is responsible for packaging products which are used domestically and overseas. Quality is the highest priority in this role because the output is a snapshot of the processing effectiveness. They oversee pressures for products compacted to ensure max payload on freight. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Requires attention to detail on equipment operation Understand the flow of material to be compacted Observe the quality of products as they are baled Clear off excess debris from baler to provide a safe working area and ensure proper function Fill out log sheet of bales generated by grade for inventory tracking Computer knowledge for equipment operation Follow job specific safety requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to distinguish between many types of material Ability to communicate clearly with the forklift operators, mechanics, and control room Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety Understand the limitations and capabilities of the baler Work in a high paced environment Qualifications: General Computer Skills LOTO training Forklift certified to move bales from the output Language Skill: Proficiency in English and/or Spanish Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of standing at the HMI. Walking periodically throughout the day. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times. Work Environment: Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
