Physical Demands:

ONE VACANCY Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled work requiring manual labor and operating heavy equipment. Work involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment. Reports to the assigned Foreman. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Equipment Operator III's perform a variety of work according to assigned work and/or supervisor. Duties may include the following:
Serves as lead Equipment Operator. Operates a variety of heavy equipment. Loads and unloads needed materials and supplies. Performs needed maintenance in assigned areas such as streets, etc.
Hauls equipment. Maintains assigned equipment and machinery.
Provides assistance with other crews, divisions, and/or departments.
Receives and/or reviews various records and report such as verbal instructions from supervisor and work orders.
Prepares and/or processes various records and reports such as overtime sheet, work orders, and verbal information.
Refers to street map, work order, manuals, policy and procedure manuals, codes / laws / regulations, publications and reference texts, etc.
Operates a variety of vehicles, equipment, and machinery such as backhoe, bulldozer, bobcat, excavator, dump truck, vacuum truck, etc.
