Identifies plant and insect specimens; applies insecticides and fungicide sprays to control diseases and insects. Assists in interpreting landscaping plans and specifications. Performs a variety of duties including operating equipment for excavation, construction, and maintenance purposes, e.g., ditches, roads, streets, grounds, parks, construction, utilities systems. Operates various trucks and equipment in the loading, hauling, and transfer of refuse, materials and supplies. Qualifications What's required: (Minimum Requirements) High School Diploma or GED. Minimum one (1) year of previous vocational training or semi-skilled work experience in areas such as facilities, maintenance, construction, and landscaping. Previous experience operating a wide variety of trucks and light maintenance and construction equipment. Possess a valid, driver's license with an acceptable driving record and must maintain it throughout employment without any restrictions affecting job requirements. If the driver's license is out of state, must be able to obtain a Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of the hire date. What's preferred : (Desired Requirements) Two (2) years of previous vocational training or semi-skilled work experience in areas such as facilities, maintenance, construction, and landscaping. One (1) year experience operating a wide variety of trucks and light maintenance and construction equipment.
