Key Duties and Responsibilities * Instill Safety as a top priority. * Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members. * Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans. * Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel. * Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly. * Fill out daily foreman reports. * Analyze and resolve issues that may arise. * Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS) * Manage all excavating activities for your crew. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years as a foreman / supervisor in the Highway Heavy Civil Construction Industry * Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices. * Must be familiar with heavy equipment * Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. * Must have a valid Driver's License. * Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools. * Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs. * Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills. * Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial. * Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. Working Conditions * Construction Site Environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects. Exposed to high noise levels. .
