This individual performs one or more of the following efficiently: operates production equipment; burrs machined products; inspect parts in process and finished goods; Operates CNC mills, CNC lathes, drill presses and other machines where setups and tool changes are required. May operate computer console. Uses simple measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, digital height stands) to check work. As a Coating operator you will be assigned to work on a coating line. You may work in one or more workstations, including the face unwind, liner unwind, die, main console/winder and Quality lab. You may be proficient on more than one coating asset in a given location. With the guidance of the Print Center Specialist, the Lead Print Operator will help direct a team of operators on multiple aspects of production operations in supporting the Print Center. This is to include the tasks of proofing, printing, finishing, quality control, delivery, safety, and continuous improvement of daily production. This position will lead operators to surpass expectations, improve efficiency, and deliver quality output. Responsibilities Daily Production Work with Print Center Specialist and assist with daily prioritization and management of work volumes. Ensure production is running on all equipment as needed/required and the print team is deployed as scheduled. Proficiently operate all print production and bindery equipment within the department. Effectively review job ticket specifications and instructions; stock description, quantity, size, printing/finishing requirements, and final stage of operation.
