Huntsman's Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a Chemical Operator for our plant located in Rock Hill, SC. In summary, as the Chemical Operator, you will: * Document operating and quality conditions of plant equipment and processes. * Notify appropriate personnel when operating and quality conditions are not met and respond accordingly. * Transfer materials into or out of drums, bags, tankers, railcars or other types of containers that may require heavy lifting (in excess of 55 lbs.) above the waistline. * Move and connect chemical hoses to pumps, reactors, tanks, tank wagons, and other equipment. * Maneuver drums, and other containers weighing up to 550 lbs. to position on pallets for filling and storage. * Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment such as tanks, pipes, hoses, pumps, etc. Use of tools, compressed gas equipment, rigging, and other operations involving equipment maintenance. * Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as Tyvek suits, rubber gloves, rubber boots, and full-face respirators when handling chemicals or performing tasks where PPE is required. * Complete all Safety training as required to include confined space training and/or rescue training. * Any other assigned duties. Job Summary: The Stabilus Printer Operator will set-up, operate and adjust all printer machines in accordance to design specifications Currently, we have an opening on our 3 rd Shift which runs Sunday - Thursday from 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Applicants should have some flexibility to accommodate overtime and changes in the schedule based on company needs. Main Tasks Sets up and adjusts all machine variables to achieve final products which conforms with design specifications. Creates print plates for designated part numbers. Follows schedule to determine product requirements. Reviews engineering design sheet to determine product specifications. Selects required tooling from department tool storage bins and installs on machine. Operates machine to run designated number of parts. Performs quality checks at specified intervals during operations. Maintains machine and work area in proper order. Adds protector tips or change hangers as needed. Unloads parts and assemblies and stacks into parts bin or places assemblies onto printer conveyer. Weighs bins when required to obtain pieces count. Inspects parts for compliance to paint specifications. Process assemblies through label printer - visually inspects each one to ensure quality standards are maintained. Verifies label placement periodically using caliper. Completes lot and identification control tags for each order completed. Rehangs or discards inferior parts and assemblies. Uses floor jack. Observes plant safety rules. Secondary Tasks Cleans chemical tanks. Cleans immediate work area. Performs other duties as requested by supervision.
