Key Responsibilities: • Set up and operate CNC lathes, input program instructions, and make necessary program adjustments. • Insert tooling, modify programs, and perform maintenance, including cleaning electronic testing equipment. • Gauge and inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances. • Work with engineers and operators to coordinate machining operations for workpieces. • Run test samples, monitor equipment operation, and adjust settings as needed. • Use grinders, mills, EDM, and honing equipment to finish workpieces to exact specifications. • Complete required paperwork, including parts requisitions, tool requests, and other necessary documentation. • Lubricate and maintain equipment as necessary, ensuring smooth operation. • Follow all company quality procedures and safety standards. • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum of 4 years of experience setting up or running CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. • Knowledge of machines with live tooling, tailstock, and sub-spindle transfers is highly desirable. • Experience machining stainless steel and non-ferrous materials. • Feature Cam or Fusion 360 programming experience is a plus. • Proficient in reading micrometers, gauges, comparators, and blueprints. • Strong computer and math skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Self-motivated and proactive in improving processes and anticipating challenges. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others. • Quality and safety-focused mindset. • Multi-turret machine experience is a plus. • Willingness to work overtime when required. • CAD/CAM knowledge is helpful but not required. The Grinding Operator at Tangent plays a vital role in our sustainability efforts by operating machinery to grind plastic scrap into reusable materials. Their work will contribute to reducing waste and promoting environmentally responsible practices. The grinding equipment must be prepped, continuously fed material, and cleaned safely. Role and Responsibilities: Operate grinding machinery to process plastic scrap efficiently and safely. Lift and lower boxes of plastic scrap to feed into the grinder. Complete fixture teardowns and machine set-ups as needed for a specified job. Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as needed maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process. Qualifications and Education Required High school diploma or equivalent 1 year manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production. 3 axis milling required Strong math skills demonstrated through assessment during hiring process. Preferred Qualifications Experience in operating 5 axis grinding machines experience in operating EDM machines. grinding experience 5S standards experience preferred.
