Performs a variety of responsible functions, requiring a thorough knowledge of departmental operations and procedures and the exercise of judgment and initiative, particularly in situations not clearly defined by precedent or established procedures. Work Environment Work is generally performed under typical office conditions; other work is performed at project sites, with some exposure to variable weather conditions, loud noise, and hazards associated with construction sites, such as working around heavy equipment, uneven footing, fumes or airborne particles.
