Duties During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include: Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area. Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions. Hourly public safety officers will receive a shift differential of an additional .50/hour for all hours worked between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am Monday through Friday; and for all hours worked on Saturday or Sunday (12:00 am to 11:59 pm) RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide proactive campus patrols in accordance with the department's community policing model. * Enforce university rules and regulations on campus, which includes conducting investigations and completing/filing necessary documentation. * Take immediate action to protect the life safety of community members, including other Public Safety Department personnel. * Deliver medical treatment including basic first aid, CPR, and use of an AED unit, in accordance with training and certification. * Perform safety escorts for students and employees to their cars and/or from building to building.
