Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible for the general security of all Bighorn properties. Patrol in assigned vehicles or on foot all club facilities and property to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and the club's assets including property. Respond to all emergency and non-emergency situations, and alarm activations while maintaining radio communications with the communication center. Perform traffic enforcement duties and enforce local regulations as assigned.
Job Tasks/Duties
Observe and reports all persons entering and leaving buildings or residences and remain alert for theft, suspicious persons and/or vehicles.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Opens residential dwellings for vendors, homeowners and their guests
Enforces all rules and regulations of Bighorn Golf Club.
Operate and understand basic office computer technology.
Monitors all appropriate security camera systems.
Responds to emergency, fire alarms and burglary alarms and contact Privacy Director and/or police in the event of a disturbance.
Administers CPR and First Aid if necessary.
Maintains accurate log of all security activities while on duty.
Conducts intermittent inspections of the clubhouse, grounds and all other club facilities and areas.
Patrols all Bighorn Properties; prevents unauthorized vehicles and people from entering onto premises.
Is familiar with emergency 911 notification procedures.
Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Privacy.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
High School education or equivalent preferred.
Previous Experience required in a private club or hospitality organization.

DEFINITION:

MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION INSURANCE: A flex benefit is provided monthly. There are several medical insurance programs, two dental plans and one vision plan from which to choose.

A Police Officer Recruit serves as a paid at-will employee while attending training at a basic POST-certified recruit academy and may be sworn in as a full-duty Police Officer upon successful graduation and completion of City Police employment requirements.

ACTIVE ACADEMY STUDENTS: If you are

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduation or equivalent
U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible for, and has applied for citizenship, prior to appointment
Minimum age 21 years at time of appointment as Police Officer
Valid Class C California driver's license
Good physical fitness and mental health as required by POST standards
Must be able to work a variety of hourly shifts including holidays and weekends

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must submit an application on-line. Based upon the information presented in the application, a limited number of candidates who possess qualifications most pertinent to the position will be invited to participate in the selection process. The selection process may include, but is not limited to the following components: application review and evaluation, written examination or exercise, physical examination, practical exercise and interview evaluation. Please notify Human Resources at least 72 hours in advance of the test date regarding a disability which requires accommodation for the testing process. The resulting eligibility list will be in effect for six (6) months.
