Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

This Transportation Security Officer position is located in Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSOs) within Security Operations (SO), you will provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner. Duties may include but are not limited to:
* Operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.
* Performing searches and screening, which may include physical interaction with passengers (e.g., pat-downs, search of property, etc.), conducting bag searches and lifting/carrying bags, bins, and property weighing up to 50lbs.
* Controlling terminal entry and exit points.
* Interacting with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries.

To qualify for the SV-D pay band (equivalent to the GS-5/6), you must meet one of the qualification requirements (A OR B) outlined below:
A. Experience: At least one year of full-time work experience in the security Industry, aviation screening, or as an X-ray technician.
OR
B. Education: Have a high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) high school equivalency certificate.
Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. TSO Dress and Appearance Responsibilities: TSOs must adhere to the current TSA dress and appearance requirements. For example, with the exception of half-inch diameter stud-style earrings, non-protruding ear gauges or spacers that match your skin and do not exceed one half-inch diameter, inconspicuous nose or tongue piercings that match your skin or tongue, body piercings may not be visible to the public. These requirements dictate if you have a tattoo that would be visible beyond the standard TSO uniform in areas such as the head and face including a partial tattoo that extends more than one inch beyond the upper neck or behind the ear, it could potentially render you ineligible for the position unless it was able to be covered at all times and not visible to the general public. Additionally, tattoos that are indecent, commonly associated with gangs, extremists, and/or supremacist organizations or that advocate sexual, racial, or religious discrimination, or have a negative impact on TSA's ability to carry out its mission must be covered at all times
Work Schedules for Full-time Positions: Specific work shifts and schedules will be determined by the airport.
* Full-time positions require 40 hours per week;
* Full-time work consists of shift-work on any day from Sunday through Saturday, which may include irregular hours, nights, holidays, overtime, extended shifts and weekend shifts, changing shifts, and split shifts.
* A "split-shift" consists of any two work shifts, each lasting at least two (2) hours in one 24-hour period, with at least two (2) hours between work shifts.
Work Schedules for Part-time Positions: Specific work shifts and schedules will be determined by the airport.
* Part-time shifts generally range from 16-32 hours per week
* Part-time work consists of shift-work on any day from Sunday through Saturday, which may include irregular hours, nights, holidays, overtime, extended shifts and weekend shifts, changing shifts, and split shifts
* A "split-shift" consists of any two work shifts, each lasting at least two (2) hours in one 24-hour period, with at least two (2) hours between work shifts
Maintaining Employment: All TSOs must maintain the standard level of certification and fitness for duty, to include:
* Completing classroom training, on-the-job training, and all initial certification testing
* Recurrent and specialized training and recertification tests on a periodic basis
* Passing background investigations, including a criminal check and credit check, and all randomly administered drug and alcohol screening tests.
No moving, relocation or pre-employment travel expenses will be paid for this position, or while in application for this position. This position is not a law enforcement position and therefore, is not covered by Law Enforcement Availability Pay or Law Enforcement Retirement. Per the President's 2014 Fair Employment memo, TSA policy is to not adversely consider a candidate based on unemployment or financial difficulty through no fault of their own. DUTIES
Candidates must:
Adhere to strict standards of conduct.
Undergo a rigorous background investigation, credit checks and a polygraph in order to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.

A Glock Model 45 will be furnished by the Department at no cost.

Manages, analyzes, and underwrites credit for the portfolio businesses owned by Financial Sponsors and other non-traditional investors, whose investments are concentrated within the food, beverage, and agribusiness sectors. Contributes to the design, structure, and pitches for lead arranger or agency opportunities, and recommends credit decisions as appropriate. Essential Functions
Reviews audits, interim statements, projections, and other pertinent financial information to provide analysis of financial trends. Acquires information from published industry reports, trade groups, journals, and other external sources to supplement and enhance the analysis of information provided by the Financial Sponsor or investor.
Identifies strengths and weaknesses of the borrower entity(ies) and evaluates specific risks to the bank. Prepares projection models to test loan-structuring alternatives. Evaluates validity of the borrower's business plan based on an assessment of the industry outlook, competition, technology, management, and capital structure. Provides estimates of company and/or collateral value.
Prepares and oversees the preparation of credit analyses and credit investigations to ensure the application of a relevant and thorough approach. Offers opinions concerning credit-worthiness. Oversees the credit approval process. Understands and follows bank guidelines, policies, and procedures for the preparation and presentation of credit information.
Assists with negotiations concerning the packaging of credit arrangements including loan structuring, loan pricing, and syndication strategy within and outside of the Farm Credit System. Consults with lending staff and provides coaching on negotiation strategy, financing approaches, or other specific credit issues. Takes a lead role in managing credit administration, account servicing, development, loan structuring, packaging, loan closing, documentation, and monitoring.
Monitors credit quality of accounts to identify emerging trends and ensure ongoing compliance with covenants. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the safety and security of the students and campus, foster an optimal learning environment and act as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by providing high visibility throughout the school; walking and surveying hallways, common areas, grounds, and parking lots; intervening in verbal and physical encounters among the students; diffusing hostile situations; and enforcing safe school policies regarding weapons, tobacco, illegal substances, traffic rules, dress code, etc. Assist visitors and check for visitor passes. Monitor students during lunch hour inside and outside of the building and during off hours. [Daily, 25%]

Discuss/mediate infractions with students, provide written accounts of unacceptable behavior/incidents to administrators and assist with assignment of disciplinary measures as necessary. Report unsafe conditions and potential health and safety hazards to administrators. [Daily, 10%]

Manages, analyzes, and underwrites credit for the portfolio businesses owned by Financial Sponsors and other non-traditional investors, whose investments are concentrated within the food, beverage, and agribusiness sectors. Contributes to the design, structure, and pitches for lead arranger or agency opportunities, and recommends credit decisions as appropriate. Supports the development of the CoBank Farm Credit System ("FCS") philosophy, and facilitates (in collaboration with CoBank Capital Markets and CoBank Legal Loan Processing) both primary loan origination and secondary loan trading activities with other banks and investors.
Essential Functions
* Reviews audits, interim statements, projections, and other pertinent financial information to provide analysis of financial trends. Acquires information from published industry reports, trade groups, journals, and other external sources to supplement and enhance the analysis of information provided by the Financial Sponsor or investor.
* Identifies strengths and weaknesses of the borrower entity(ies) and evaluates specific risks to the bank. Prepares projection models to test loan-structuring alternatives. Evaluates validity of the borrower's business plan based on an assessment of the industry outlook, competition, technology, management, and capital structure. Provides estimates of company and/or collateral value.
* Prepares and oversees the preparation of credit analyses and credit investigations to ensure the application of a relevant and thorough approach. Offers opinions concerning credit-worthiness. Oversees the credit approval process. Understands and follows bank guidelines, policies, and procedures for the preparation and presentation of credit information.
* Assists with negotiations concerning the packaging of credit arrangements including loan structuring, loan pricing, and syndication strategy within and outside of the Farm Credit System. Consults with lending staff and provides coaching on negotiation strategy, financing approaches, or other specific credit issues. Takes a lead role in managing credit administration, account servicing, development, loan structuring, packaging, loan closing, documentation, and monitoring.
* Monitors credit quality of accounts to identify emerging trends and ensure ongoing compliance with covenants. Notifies broader relationship team, lending, and/or credit staff of emerging issues as appropriate. Proactively and dynamically manages CoBank's hold positions within individual portfolio businesses to calibrate and optimize risk-return for CoBank.
* Takes a leadership role in managing the credit origination process from application through final approval, closing, booking, and servicing.
* Assists with internal research and analysis, provides statistical reports, and verifies information. Prepares and delivers presentations on topics as assigned. Generates business insight through data analytics to aid business decisions including portfolio risk management.
* Identifies areas for improvement in templates, spreadsheets, programs, systems, and procedures used in credit origination process. Proposes possible solutions to problems.
