General Description

Examples of Duties
Maintains security in and around the courts; ensures the safety and security of court personnel and the public; escorts jurors during court breaks.
Conducts and documents security inspections prior to court sessions.
Answers calls and complaints within the judicial center; may conduct investigations regarding these complaints.
Assists individuals and the general public entering the judicial center.
Patrols inside the building and the perimeters of the judicial centers to preserve public order and tranquility and to prevent and/or discover the commission of crimes against person or property.
Makes arrests and testifies in the prosecution of law violators on the judicial center premises; prepares detailed and accurate reports to be used in follow-up investigations and court actions.
Protects crime scenes, gathers, and preserves evidence within the judicial centers; directs and coordinates activities on-site until relieved by a supervisor.
Serves warrants, capias, court orders, and other legal processes; arrests persons wanted on warrants or court orders.
Thoroughly searches confinement areas in a systematic manner, locating and seizing any contraband, and preserving any evidence found in accordance with agency policy; searches prisoners as required or directed; transfers prisoners from holding areas into courtrooms; guards prisoners during court appearances, maintaining security and control of the prisoner, ensuring that no prisoners or other persons are injured and no escapes or disturbances occur.
Sequesters juries overnight when necessary.
Assists in moving inmates and detainees.
Collects fingerprints and DNA samples of individuals convicted of crimes.
May perform work outside of the confines of the judicial centers in emergency situations as deemed necessary by the Sheriff or his designee.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Typical Qualifications
Training and Experience (positions in this class typically require):
High School Diploma (G.E.D.), AND completion of a basic training program for Law Enforcement approved by the CJSTC in the state of Florida, AND passed the Florida state officer certification examination
Physical Agility Test requirements:
You will be required to take and pass a Physical Agility Test (P.A.T.) at the beginning of the pre-employment process in order to proceed. The P.A.T. is conducted in a time-dependent, continuous flow manner. The P.A.T. determines the participants level of physical condition and aerobic capacity. This course must be completed in under 6 minutes and 4 seconds (6:04). The tasks associated with this test measure specific physical abilities which include:
-exiting a vehicle/opening a trunk
-running 220 yards
-completing an obstacle course
-dragging a 150-pound dummy
-completing the obstacle course a second time
-running 220 yards
-dry firing a weapon six (6) time with each hand
-placing items in and closing trunk/entering a vehicle

Responsibilities
* The EW/SEAD Duty Officer SME must know the details of doctrinal AOC electronic warfare cell processes to coordinate the employment of all replicated air component EW assets in support of air, space, land and maritime operations.
* The EWDO will replicate the Electronic Warfare Coordination Center (EWCC) representative as required for the exercise.
* The SME will understand all levels of the EW command and control chain to replicate during exercise planning and execution.
* The SME will support, advise and execute non kinetic operations to include space, cyber, EW and IO throughout all facets of exercises to help coordinate non-lethal training injects.
* The SME will also require the ability to define non kinetic strategy to task requirements.
* The SME will work closely with the air, space, and cyber "fly out" replication cell or other white force members to accurately and effectively support training audience requirements and exercise execution.
* Will address the following as required by training audience needs and replication/white cell participation by external or internal audiences.
* Integrate EW and defense suppression assets in support of mission/exercise objectives and training audience objectives.
* Coordinate with IO Duty Officer and ISR analysts, if replicated or participating, on current order of battle data and nominate immediate enemy Command, Control, Communications and Computer (C4) targets.
* Ensure simulated or replicated WOCs for all EW and SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) assets are informed of ATO changes. Coordinate any simulated or replicated WOC change inputs or time critical EW asset deficiencies to appropriate AOC RC SMEs or cells.
* Receive and process immediate EW requests from Air Force, joint or combined forces. Coordinate with SODO, Close Air Support DOs (CASDO) if replicated, Army BCD and other service LNOs as replicated for support requests.
* Coordinate with the Frequency/Spectrum Manager, BCD, ISRD, and other applicable agencies for frequency deconfliction if required for training objectives or injects.
* Recommend EW initiatives. Ensure doctrinally correct AOC RC cells are made aware of any major changes in EW asset utilization/availability or other impacts to EW functions.
* SME will ensure any limitations that will affect the training audience or inject flows are mitigated and communicated to the CCO or SODO.
* Take action to minimize the impact of EW/SEAD degradation or threat changes to coalition aircraft as required per exercise game plan, desired learning objectives, and injects.
Qualifications
* 3 years as AOC EWCC Duty Officer or EW, or STO Specialty Team Planner/ Instructor (M) Rated Officer (M).
* Three years experience In-depth current understanding of Joint and J/CAOC EW planning and execution processes, products and TTPs. Understanding of the Master Air Attack Plan, JAOP and ATO planning Process. Familiarity with TET Team processes. Understand Joint Restricted Frequency List (JRFL), Jamming Control Authority (JCA), EW Spins, Rules of Engagement (ROE), Joint Tactical Air Support Request (JTAR), and Electronic Attack Request Format.
* Three years experience and In-depth, current knowledge of TBMCS or ICC planning and execution applications with emphasis on ESTAT. Understand all levels of the J/CAOC EW command and control chain. Familiarity with airspace planning and EW deconfliction.
* Familiarity with Air Force, Army, Marine and Navy Electronic Warfare air, ground, and sea capabilities, and Joint and Allied EW capabilities, systems, and command and control process.
* Participation in two or more AOC/Joint exercises as EWCC or EWCC Mentor OR participation as EWCC as part of an AOC Replication cell (M).
* Experience as an AOC exercise designer/planner (HD)

SPECIAL NOTES:
DJJ Detention facilities operate 24/7/365 and positions require shift schedules. Staff members must be agreeable to working shift schedules, including rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays with varying days off. There may also be times when unplanned overtime or unscheduled double shifts are necessary.

This test will be used to measure the candidate's overall suitability for working with juvenile justice involved youth. Test results will be used for a period of six months after initial testing for candidates who reapply during that period for another position for which testing is required.

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. When identified on a position description, a valid driver's license is required. If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver's license within 30 days of hire. Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses) and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
Positions that include the transportation of youth while performing any work or work-related functions on behalf of DJJ require: (1) a valid driver's license; and (2) a three-year acceptable driving record as defined in FDJJ Policy 1920.
Successful candidates must be certified in accordance with the Department direct care training policy, and must obtain such certification within 180 days of employment.
For those candidates who are not currently in the state system as a direct-care worker for DJJ at the time of application, the top-ranking candidate(s) after the interview phase will be required to take and pass an Ergometric's IMPACT Assessment and Training Test in order to be considered for the direct-care employment opportunity. This test will be used to measure the candidate's overall suitability for working with juvenile justice involved youth. Test results will be used for a period of six months after initial testing for candidates who reapply during that period for another position for which testing is required.
985.66 FLORIDA STATUTE REQUIREMENT
Be at least 19 years of age.
Be a high school graduate or its equivalent as determined by the department.
Not have been convicted of any felony or a misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement, or have received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States. Any person, who after September 30, 1999, pleads guilty or nolo contendere to or is found guilty of any felony or a misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement is not eligible for employment, notwithstanding suspension of sentence or withholding of adjudication. Notwithstanding this subparagraph, any person who pled nolo contendere to a misdemeanor involving a false statement before October 1, 1999, and who has had such record of that plea sealed or expunged is not ineligible for employment for that reason.
Abide by all provisions of s. 985.644 (1), regarding fingerprinting and background investigations and other screening requirements for personnel.
Execute and submit to the Department an affidavit-of-application form, adopted by the Department, attesting to his or her compliance with subparagraphs 1-4. The affidavit must be executed under oath and constitutes an official statement under s. 837.06. The affidavit must include conspicuous language that the intentional false execution of the affidavit constitutes a misdemeanor of the second degree. The Department shall retain the affidavit.
