How you will make a difference:
The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishes a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visits clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff.

Summary of Essential Duties:

Position Summary:
As a senior member of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, this position produces clinical diagnostic radiographic images, CT Scans and/or Mammographic Procedures. Position requires certification in 2 or more of the 3 modalities mentioned. Performs routine diagnostic imaging, CT exams and/or Mammographic procedures according to departmental protocol, policy and procedures and established standards of practice. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment, prepares room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provides leadership to Rad Tech II technologists or other staff as is needed. Provides patient care services using general and specialized imaging modalities under the direction of a physician but not requiring constant technical supervision. Provides diagnostic imaging services to patients of all ages. The Rad Tech III will take a supervisory role where designated or in the absence of supervisory or management staff. Applies ionizing radiation in the performance of a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis. Responsible for patient care safety. Assists physicians in the performance of interventional procedures and the administration of contrast media. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and equipment. Participates in orientation of Radiology Department staff. Works cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional Diagnostic Imaging Technologist practice in the clinical setting.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited radiology program
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Two (2) years recent acute care hospital experience in multiple modalities preferred
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license issued by the California Department of Public Health

The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction.
As a Catheterization Lab Technician, you will use physiological monitoring/recording systems to create, manipulate, improve, and record analog and digital radiographic images used in diagnostic, electrophysiology and interventional cardio-vascular procedures and examinations. You will perform a range of technical and supportive patient care tasks in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Experienced CVTs that meet the qualifications of Tech I and also have three years' experience along with ACLS and RCIS may qualify for the CVT Tech II position.

Summary of Essential Duties:
Assists with CVIC procedures applying approved protocols per standards of practice for safety, speed, organization, precision, and accuracy based upon the department's accrediting agency and/or department guidelines for exam protocols, adhering to department safety and productivity standards.
Scrubs, monitors, assists, and circulates safely and timely, supplying necessary equipment and performing vascular site management, while supporting FDA approved and clinical research procedures.
Performs all diagnostic tests, including coronary and structural heart intervention using electronic physiologic monitoring equipment and accurately records ECG, electrograms, hemodynamics, echocardiographic and other vital tracing obtained throughout the procedure.
Prepares and administers contrast and follows department procedures and guidelines in handling of contrast to maintain compliance with all safety requirements. Observes radiation and laser protection to regulatory safety requirements.
Performs sterile processing within guidelines for sterile field and equipment preparation, including inspection, counting, cleaning, patient and equipment transport, room stock, and documentation, with notification to supervisor and action needed for resolution.

Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Successful completion of an Accredited CVT program with at least 800 hours of clinicals as part of that training program required
License/Certifications:
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
ACLS preferred. ACLS is required if put into a Tech II position
RCIS preferred. RCIS is required if put into a Tech II position.
Experience:
Previous Cath Lab experience preferred; graduates of a CV Tech program with no experience can be considered at the Tech I level

What you will be doing in this role:

The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse working in conjunction with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director assists the trauma program in monitoring all aspects of care. Assigns accurate E-codes, collects and codes data on all procedures, complications, ensures all data elements for the hospital trauma registry are collected, entered and validated per current local, state, and/or national standards.

Designs, implements and tests the user interfaces and reports for database applications.
Develops and reports trauma audit filter information to the Trauma Operations Committee and Multidisciplinary Trauma Review Committee as appropriate.

Establishes and maintains the databases used for testing new and modified applications.
Maintains confidentiality of patient care and business matters.
Meets production standards within established time requirements.

A Little More About What You Will be Doing
The Radiology Technician (CRT) supports patient care by performing x-rays as directed by physician for diagnostic purposes. Proficiency with the use of x-ray equipment and associated procedures according to assignments and job responsibilities. Additionally, the CRT will perform routine and basic administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.
Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures, positioning patients on the examining table and adjusting equipment to acquire optimum views of specific body area as ordered by clinician
Performs procedures based on established technique chart using independent judgment to support the radiological orders.
Uses appropriate technique charts and assures markers are set appropriately
Maintains logs for quality control based on manufacturers recommendation
Reviews dosimeter reports monthly
May assist the clinician during examinations and/or minor surgeries
Keeps exam and/or procedure rooms stocked with adequate medical/surgical supplies, maintains instruments, and performs sterilization as required
Escorts patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measures vital signs and documents information in patient's chart, and performs designated diagnostic tests as directed by the provider

Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
GENERAL DUTIES
The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse working in conjunction with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director assists the trauma program in monitoring all aspects of care. This position will assure in conjunction with Trauma Administrative Team that all guidelines and protocols are consistent with the care being provided. The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse, in conjunction with the Trauma Administrative Team, identifies opportunities for improvement and manages the performance improvement program. The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse is responsible for: Meeting Riverside County Trauma Center Standards as well as JC and American College of Surgeons standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate and hospital policy and procedures, managing patient information, promoting teamwork and positive customer service.
Is actively involved, cross trained and able to perform back up in the following duties:
Attends hospital, Tenet, Medical Staff, Department meetings as assigned.
Meet hospital wide and department specific competencies.
Participates willingly in Department/Hospital process improvement plans.
Ensures confidentiality with patient and physician information and demonstrates understanding of HIPAA.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Maintain participation in a state or national clinical organization pertaining to trauma registry.
Ability to work productively in a fast paced and changing environment.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Able to demonstrate proficiency with computer hardware, trauma registry software and ensuring preventative and routine maintenance for a database registry.
Accurately identifies all patients for entry into the hospital trauma registry, abstract data from the medical records of appropriately defined trauma patients. Completes and verifies for accuracy all data collected and entered as a requirement for a level II trauma center according to current local, state and national standards.
Aids in the preparation for the American College of Surgeons- Committee (ACS-COT) on Trauma Center Verification/Re-verification and/or the Riverside County EMS Agency trauma survey.
Analyzes trauma data to provide both routine and ad hoc reports of trauma statistics and performance improvement and patient safety audits/filters to the TPM for but not limited to: monthly performance improvement meetings and trauma operational meetings, routine volume reporting, statistics, trends in audit filters, loop closure evaluation and opportunities for improvement, education, financial analysis, trauma audit committee and southeast trauma coordinating care committee, external oversight: The Joint Commission, CMS, and the ACS COT, and/or Riverside County EMS Agency, Trauma research.
Assigns and scores all injuries utilizing the AIS and ICD-10 system or equivalent. Assigns accurate E-codes, collects and codes data on all procedures, complications, ensures all data elements for the hospital trauma registry are collected, entered and validated per current local, state, and/or national standards.
Attends required orientation and training seminars.
Demonstrates initiative and creativity in problem solving.
Designs, implements and tests the user interfaces and reports for database applications.
Develops and reports trauma audit filter information to the Trauma Operations Committee and Multidisciplinary Trauma Review Committee as appropriate.
Ensures loop closure on all identified issues.
Establishes and maintains the databases used for testing new and modified applications.
Maintains confidentiality of patient care and business matters.
Meets production standards within established time requirements.
Modifies and maintains database structure and methods as required.
Monitors the security of data to ensure the integrity and reliability of database systems.
Other duties as assigned by the TPM.
Performs chart reviews for those trauma patients meeting criteria for Pl/Peer Review
Prepares the cases for review for the multidisciplinary peer review meetings.
Proven ability to abstract data from database software into spreadsheet formats.
Responsible for maintaining the tracking system for case review, audit filters, Pl, and peer review reports.
Submits the required data elements to the Riverside County trauma registry as required by state statute. Identifies and submits data to approved local, regional, and national trauma registry as approved by the TPM.

Summary of Essential Duties:
The Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist (RT) assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Cath Lab team.
Performs the radiological procedures at a technical level.
Responsible for positioning the patient and fluoroscopic equipment as needed to obtain optimum views of all relevant anatomy during procedures.
Provides a safe patient care environment, maintains and operates the physiological monitoring/recording system for both interventional cardiac and complex electrophysiology studies, is responsible for monitoring radiation exposure levels during all exams and ensuring that technical factors appropriate for the given procedure are used.

Graduate of a Radiology Technology program in an AMA approved school required

Current ARRT and CRT certifications required
Fluoroscopy permit required

What you will be doing in this role:
This Ultrasound Tech position covers one of three Prenatal Diagnosis Center outreach clinics in Beverly Hills or other possible outreach location. The candidate will have a regular designated site and may be required to provide back-up coverage to the other sites.
Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams in the outpatient setting accurately, efficiently and effectively.
Maintains current equipment and exam competency as required
Operates, calibrates and maintains imaging equipment and accessory instruments used in imaging procedures. Recognizes and reports defective equipment immediately and marks equipment as “out of service.”
Performs daily tasks such as creating orders, correcting exam visit type, charging for supplies, order medication, administration documentation of medications used by physician, and Time Out documentation.
Participates in the introduction and implementation of new procedures/protocols and in the evaluation of new imaging equipment.
Performs weekend and begin/end of shift duties such as forwarding the phones, updating portable assignments, cleaning and stocking rooms for the next shift, and sending out shift reports.
Participates in performance improvement activities and other team goals.
Adheres to department productivity standards.
Assist physicians who are performing procedures. This may include preparing the supplies needed on a sterile field, loading the biopsy device, and ensuring that the sterile field is not contaminated. This assistance may also include holding the medication container provided by the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) to enable the LIP to withdraw medication and discard the container once it is empty.
Ensures that sharps, contrast agents, and biohazards are secure or locked.
Appropriately documents ultrasound scans and procedures, and patient and family education if relevant.
Performs exams portably in MFCU and Labor and Delivery.
Follows the high-level disinfection process for transvaginal probes and updates the HLD logbook.
Enters charges into CS Link accurately.
