How did you end up working for oakley?

I had moved to Orange County after living in San Diego for almost 10 years, with my soon to be wife. She was nannying for someone who worked there and knew there were openings. Her reference got me the job. That's how it is there, and almost everywhere else these days. You need to know someone. It's a better lesson than college, honestly. It's all who you know, sadly. Edit: Life isn't fair. If you think that it is, get over it. It's not. If you want a good job at a good company, you need to be social and make friends. I wish the world wasn't like this, but it's the truth. You don't have to totally sell yourself under the river, but you have to "get it". This is the game you live in.
