Site: Twentymile Mine About the role: We are currently seeking a CM Miners to join our Continuous Mining Team at our Twentymile Mine location. Reporting to the CM Leadman. The scope of your role will be to perform all necessary work in a CM section. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and to expand knowledge and skills.
Twentymile mine is an underground coal mine located in Colorado's scenic Yampa Valley about 20 miles outside Steamboat Springs, a ski resort and vacation destination. The surrounding area has towns both large and small including Oak Creek, Craig, Hayden, and Steamboat Springs. Hunting and fishing are very popular in this area. Shotgun and archery hunting is allowed on Peabody property for employees with proper authorization.
Peabody Twentymile has a safety-first culture and has been recognized two years in a row by the National Mining Association as the safest underground coal mine in the United Sates. The award recognizes coal and mineral mining operations with the lowest MSHA reportable injury rate. In 2023, Twentymile completed three years without a single reportable injury.
The Pay Rate for this position is between $37.17 and $41.90 per hour depending on experience.
Duties will include:
* Operation of all CM mining equipment including the Miner, Bolter, Shuttle car, Scoop, Uniloader, etc.
