About The Role The Asset Protection Specialist has a thorough knowledge of KnitWell Group, Inc.'s security and life safety procedures and is responsible for supporting the protection of our enterprise assets, which include associates, product and property. This individual must maintain company and departmental policy and procedural expertise and ongoing action readiness for incidents related to life safety and Asset Protection within the organization and provides detailed reporting to various staff and support departments. The hours for this position are 10PM-6AM (with some flexibility needed) The Impact You Can Have Checks associate ID badges to control facility egress and logs visitors/contractors. Greet, engage and assist associates, vendors and visitors upon registration. Maintains thorough knowledge of / and monitors facilities CCTV, fire/burglar, and access control systems. Answers and transfers internal/external phone calls as part of Front Desk procedures. Conducts daily (i.e. outbound/inbound audits, safety/security checklists, etc.) and monthly audits and facility inspections. Responsible for initiating internal/external investigations based off daily inspections findings and/or information received from other sources/information. Logs all inbound / outbound trailers and containers upon entry/exit of the trailer yard, entering each into yard management system, and making appropriate communications to partners on radio to direct trailers to a dock door or yard lot location. Inspects all trailers and containers for signs of damage or tampering and performs C-TPAT 7-point inspections on international outbound trailers and documenting any anomalies. Secures facility and truck gate during non-operational hours. Provides after-hour security service/surveillance (walk and/or monitor associates to their automobile, etc.) to associates in times of need. Responsible for creating incident/injury report and applying first aid in times of need. What You'll Bring to the Role At least 6 months experience in Asset Protection / Loss Prevention or security preferred. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be flexible to work any shift including weekends, and be on call 24/7, any day of the year. Self-motivated; must be able to work with little or no supervision during shift. Excellent organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills First Aid, CPR, AED certification preferred (certification will be required during employment) Possess basic Microsoft skills (i.e., Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
