Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Novelis Novi Customer Solutions Center (CSC) team is seeking a Structural CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) Co-op. The person in this role will report to a Lead engineer in the Design/Analysis section of the CSC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project CAE analysis involving new and innovative applications of Novelis' Automotive alloys. This position will strengthen our sales by demonstrating new applications for Novelis high strength alloys at major automotive OEM customers.
Responsibilities:
Create finite element models and perform structural analysis of aluminum components (primarily body structures and closures) used in automotive industry
Perform static deflection and strain analysis (linear and non-linear), dynamic response analysis and large displacement non-linear crash analysis
Support project activities related to failure characterization of alloys and various joining technologies
Procure and build parts / components for physical testing
Design and procure test fixtures for physical testing
Perform physical test to CAE correlation studies
Develop material models (CAE Cards) for new Novelis alloys
Minimum Qualifications:
BSME in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanics of Materials or equivalent (in process)
Familiarity with automotive body structures and closures design and requirements
Prior exposure to CAE analysis for static strength, stiffness, normal modes, and crash analysis
Ability to work out of the Novi, MI Novelis CSC office From May 2025 through December 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity and exposure to CAE tools and analysis methods, especially knowledge of Hypermesh, LS-Dyna and optimization toolkits
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of tools, especially Word and PowerPoint for report and presentation preparation
Good Communications skills - both written and verbal
Willingness to learn and grown in CAE modeling and analysis skill sets
Familiarity with regulatory and public domain crash protocols

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of the Institutional and Specialty Sales Consultant are to:
* Drive clinical demand, education and sales, building deep understanding of disease state, unmet needs and treatment options to effectively educate healthcare professionals and business stakeholders on the unique benefits of assigned products while balancing both efficacy and safety through detailing of approved clinical information for community-based healthcare professionals and health systems;
* Build institutional advocacy to drive formulary/pathway/protocol adoption of cardiovascular-renal brand(s) to drive appropriate pull-through of approved products;
* Develop, co-create with external and internal stakeholders and implement strategic business plans for identified top strategic Institutions with an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics that influence product sales;
* Demonstrate expertise and knowledge of disease state, the marketplace, competitors, industry, and cross-functional activities/plans as well as possess analytical rigor to anticipate and identify business opportunities and challenges;
* Build key business relationships within prioritized customers in the community and including key stakeholders at the Institutions (i.e., C and D Suite and Head of Pharmacy, Head of Quality), Cardiologists and Nephrologists;
* Manage the P&T committee processes at the priority Institutions;

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $118,065 to $177,097. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:
The candidate will be focused on adhesive bonding technology, substrates, and lab batch making. Work will be done with internal personnel and external customers to evaluate their current and future products and projects. Goals will be tied to the business strategy.
For this job, familiarity and working in a lab setting is required. The candidate will be required to utilize/learn ASTM, SAE, customer, and internal specifications to prepare, test, and analyze new products and substrates. Tests will include mechanical and physical property testing, and some tests will be computer-driven. Knowledge of the current adhesives product line, including application, will be essential. When a problem arises, the candidate may be asked to provide the necessary testing and determine next steps.
Data may be given verbally, but must be documented in an electronic laboratory book and in the form of a technical report. Testing is expected to be done promptly and efficiently. Status of assigned work will need to be given routinely.
The candidate will have customer exposure in the form of meetings, training, and testing.
The candidate will become familiar with the quality system and must be compliant in their documentation of testing and in their abilities to run a test. This individual may have equipment that must be maintained within the guidelines of the quality system. Leadership and engagement in site safety programs is mandatory. Proper housekeeping of assigned areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An associate or bachelor's degree in the STEM field is preferred
Minimum 2 years of work experience in an industrial or R&D lab environment OR a combination of relevant education and work experience in a lab environment.
Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Must be willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which could include the following safety equipment, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Agronomic Research Specialist is a field-facing role responsible for contributing to an R&D Field Trial program in crops such as wheat, canola, corn, soybeans, or cotton, depending on the region. Primary responsibilities of the ARS role: coordinate with growers on leased land space; assist with acquiring and supervising local staffing during in-season activities, assist with conducting in-season research activities such as phenotyping, study management, and data analytics review as part of overseeing and executing research trials that feeds the R&D pipeline. * Collaborate with project team members to deliver detailed experimental protocols that enable advancement decisions by our scientists and product placement decisions for our customers;
* Use equipment like tractors and specialized planters, modified commercial harvesters, commercial drones, and other technologies and digital tools to collect, analyze, and deliver data on various agronomic traits in a timely manner throughout the growing season.
