Essential Job Functions:
Provide physical support to assist residents to perform daily living activities, such as lifting, transfers, assisting with bed mobility, bathing, dressing, toileting, standing, walking, exercising, serving and assisting with meals, and taking vital signs
Observes and documents the health, behavior, physical and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the nurse
Responds promptly and courteously to resident call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine residents' needs
Promotes personal safety and the safety of the residents with a clean and safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situation to the nurse
Communicate with nurses on resident conditions, changes and concerns
Complete required documentation in a timely manner
Provide companionship, comfort and support to residents
Meet federal and state in-service requirements
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Knowledge and Critical Skills:
Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions
Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public
Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility

Education and Experience:
Must have valid CNA license in Montana state

Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility

Prepare and administer medications according to health care provider instructions and within the scope of the license.
Answer resident call lights and bells, determine and address their request.
Responsible for the resident's environment so that it is comfortable and safe.
Inform the nurse of any changes in the resident's condition (e.g. vitals, reports of pain, etc.) so that appropriate information can be acted upon.
Complete pertinent clinical documentation according to policy.
Attend and participate in in-service training programs to meet state, federal, and company requirements.
Safety and Sanitation
Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
Clean, disinfect, and return all resident care equipment to its designated storage area after each use.
Perform routine housekeeping duties (i.e., clean bed rails, over bed table, night stand, etc., that relate to nursing care procedures).
Before leaving work area for breaks or the end of the work day, store all tools, equipment, and supplies.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families. Education and Experience None. Licensing/Certifications Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and a licensed Medication Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.

Scope

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Collaborates with the CLinic Office Nurse and/or Provider in providing basic nursing care for critical care patients. Receives direction from: Nurses, Providers, Coordinators and Clinical Managers/Supervisors. Focused on safety and care of patients.
**The schedule for this role will be 3x12's on day shift**
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
CNA experience working with patients in a hospital environment, required.
CNA experience working in a critical care unit, preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
MT CNA Certification
BLS
Follows most current standards for continuing education requirements as dictated by State/Federal licensure regulations
