+ Support activities as required such as proposal support, equipment maintenance, process instruction revisions, new test development, interpretation of customer technical specifications, field training, and develop productivity improvements.
**Required Qualifications**

+ Current or recent prior Level II or III certification in the following methods: UT, MT, ET & PT

Role and Responsibilities
Lead development projects for the improvement and usage of materials, coatings, and processes undertaken to build, apply, or shape the materials
Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions
Create and manage project timelines
Create and execute test plans
Understand and apply technical requirements from specifications and engineering drawings that impact materials and processes and provide guidance to multidisciplinary teams
Evaluate, compare and obtain property data to guide material selection
Perform metallurgical and compositional evaluations
Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools
Document and communicate development results through technical reports and presentations
Identify Materials and Process technology gaps and propose solutions for component durability or future designs
Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science with a minimum of 3 years engineering experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years engineering experience
NOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.

B.S, M.S. or PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy from an accredited college or university
