Director Facilities
Kingston, NY
Directs the repair, construction and reconstruction of the hospitals physical plant and its contents. Develops and administers programs to maintain buildings, grounds and equipment associated with each facility in accordance with state and governing regulations. This includes ensuring each location is readied for inspections from NYSDOH, DNV, NY Housing and Development, CMS and all other agencies responsible for the ongoing accreditation needed to continue business. Directs the repair, construction and reconstruction of the hospitals physical plant and its contents. Administers a preventive maintenance program. All facilities and their grounds must be maintained at the standard set by administration, to insure clean and functioning operations. The Director will be responsible to direct and oversee construction projects, repairs, and be forward thinking about process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and implements department functions including Maintenance/Engineering, Plant Operations, Safety and Security.
Assures that facilitys structures, grounds, systems and equipment operate effectively and are in compliance with all regulatory requirements in order to provide a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors.
Assures the development and implementation of an effective preventive maintenance program for the utilities systems, facility infrastructure and equipment as required by regulation and hospital policy.
Administers the biomedical equipment maintenance program through contractual arrangements with external providers.
Works with hospital administration and leadership to identify facility/space/life safety issues; develops action plans to address issues in collaboration with administration and leadership.
Acts as interface with outside contractors with regard to construction/renovation projects.
Acts as Team Leader for the Environment of Care functions within the hospital (Life Safety, Safety, Utilities Management, Equipment Management, Hazardous Materials and Waste, and Emergency Preparedness).
Works with administration to support the strategic plans of the hospital as related to facility planning.
Provides leadership and is accountable for the stewardship of Plant Maintenance - Plant Operations.
This includes monthly reporting of variances, managing labor force and safeguarding the equipment and facilities through good sound PM Programs.
Performs any other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance and/or construction with 3 years direct supervision of a staff. The experience should be in a healthcare environment with direct interaction with providers, patients and staff.

Locality pay varies by duty location. A fully trained CBP Officer is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.
Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Staff Attorney at the Manhattan Family Justice Center is a key position within Sanctuary for Families' Immigration Intervention Project, a legal services project that represents thousands of survivors of domestic violence, other forms of gender based violence, and human trafficking in a broad range of immigration matters. The Staff Attorney provides direct legal representation to immigrant clients. Other important responsibilities include conducting community outreach and education in Manhattan, screening walk-in clients at the Manhattan Family Justice Center, collaborating with other agencies represented there to assist immigrant survivors, and advocating for improvements in systems affecting their lives. The IIP operates from 5 different locations in New York City; this Staff Attorney works out of the NYC Family Justice Center located in Manhattan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent survivors of gender-based violence and sex trafficking in their immigration cases before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and appellate courts;
Collaborate with volunteers, interns and
pro bono
attorneys; supports training of junior staff members on all aspects of client contact, litigation support, case management, and/or project development.
Coordinate with partner agencies at the Manhattan Family Justice Center and serve as an immigration law resource there;
Screen potential clients for eligibility for immigration relief and legal representation through Sanctuary for Families;
Represent Sanctuary for Families at the Manhattan Family Justice Center and at community events, on advocacy committees, and on task forces.
Collaborate with district attorney's offices, other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, health care providers, and community-based organizations to improve responses to immigrant survivors, and to educate and provide technical assistance on issues relating to immigrant clients.
Contribute to Sanctuary's efforts to educate the public, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, social service agencies, community-based organizations, and elected officials about issues related to immigrant survivors; develop written materials and curriculum for such purposes.
Perform any other Department or agency-related duties or special projects as assigned by the Legal Center Director and Deputy Director and the Director of the Immigration Intervention Project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and manage instructors and campers, ensuring that the camps are delivered at a high level
Ensure the safe operation and instruction of all camp activities
Lead daily staff meetings and manage sign-in and pick-up
Interface with camp parents and the main office
Manage site logistics such as lunch orders, inventory and supplies, and schedules
Be a positive role model for campers and staff, and arrive each day with an inclusive, professional, and upbeat attitude
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience working with children in an educational role
Minimum age 25 years or older by summer
Bachelor's Degree required
Experience and comfort with technology and related areas
Camp and leadership experience preferred
CPR certification and First Aid training must be completed prior to the start of summer
Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook
Deep appreciation for teamwork and drive to be part of a high-level team
Required clearances, or ability to obtain them prior to start date. Lavner Education will reimburse employees for the cost of clearances if they need to be obtained
