    This seasonal part-time position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and at Waypoint's waterfront June-Labor Day. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for keeping buildings and equipment in good condition. Including preparing the waterfront for the day and cleaning and end-of-day closing procedures. These include cleaning and inspecting equipment for any damage or issues. (kayak, paddles, life jackets, games and any other items used during the course of the day) 2. Beginning of the day: Open bathhouse and assure it is properly stocked with paper products and trash bags, assure it is clean and orderly. Notify supervisor of any needed items. Wipe down tables and chairs. Provide access to equipment. Set up for the day's planned activities. Inspect boat for any issues and make sure it is fueled and ready for the day. 3. End of Day: Clean any used items, pick up trash and empty trash bins. Lock and secure any buildings accessed during the day. Put away and lock up items as necessary. Close gate. 4. Track site usage and ensure users follow rules and safety expectations. Track daily visitor use, assuring visitors are Waypoint employees and/or members accompanied by a Waypoint Employee or Shared Living Provider. Provide supervisor with number and type of visitor. 5. Follow outlined safety procedures and monitor water activities. Assure safety of visitors and provide corrective action and direction for visitors not in compliance with rules and safety expectations. 6. Assist visitors in distress or who require assistance. 7. Pick up and properly dispose of trash throughout the day. 8. Notify the supervisor of any safety concerns, items in need of repair or damaged, etc and immediately prohibit use of any damaged or unsafe equipment. 9. Arrange for, set up and engage visitors in planned activities 10. Immediately notify the supervisor of any adverse events, injuries, or incidents. 11. Notify supervisor of and close waterfront during inclement weather. Requirements Position Competencies/Skills/Abilities · Must be at least 17 years of age · Lifeguard certification · Basic CPR/First Aid certification · Ability to understand and follow directions · Must have a strong work ethic · Follow agency policies and procedures · Must be willing to attend mandated state and/or agency training as directed · Experience and comfort operating watercraft preferred · Experience working with adults/children with I/DD and autism preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk over a variety of surfaces and enter a variety of locations. Ability to be outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to speak clear English for effective communication to convey detailed and important spoken information. Ability to hear at normal speaking levels to receive detailed information through oral communication.
