Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
Hands-on data center configuration experience, with a focus on VMware, Unix/Linux, and deployment of services.
Direct experience with network routing, VLANs, and Site-to-Site VPNs preferred.
Design and implementation of data center technologies, including power requirements, physical security, hardware installation, and maintenance.
Strong familiarity with Cisco and pf Sense equipment, and experience in network and cybersecurity concepts (e.g., SSH, IPSec, PKI, firewall policies).
Experience with federal security standards such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC preferred.
Other Skills:
Excellent troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.x

Compensation:

What you'll do

Salary Range
California: the pay range for this role is $136,000 to $187,000 per year.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule - Faire employees will be expected to go into the office 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, effective the week of January 13, 2025. Additionally, in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.

Responsibilities:
Works under general supervision.
Will design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Telecom/Collaboration architecture.
Develop the requirements to resolve or address current deficiencies in the infrastructure due to the changing demands of the current environment.
Perform aspects of project management and communicates project statuses project stakeholders.
Work on installation and configuration of the new devices, submitting ECRs to request IPs, ports, VMs when necessary.
Work with Data Center POCs to secure rack, power and connectivity.
Develop required specifications to submit solutions for simple, moderate and complex problems.
Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
Provide input to short/long-term strategies and participates in budget planning.
Capable of performing at/or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer, and VTC Lead equivalencies.
Must, at times, be able to perform above or below acting grade/position.
Security/Certification Requirements:
MUST possess a current/active Top-Secret security clearance.
MUST possess a current/active IAT II (i.e., Security+) or higher certification.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Operations Center Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting and growing our global financial networks, providing both internal and external support for our environment. Your primary responsibilities will be to provide overnight support for the US hours as well as support for our APAC and EMEA regions.
You Will:
Troubleshoot and resolve remote user connectivity issues, including VPN access and performance concerns.
Perform network configuration changes and system checkouts as required, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Manage and maintain network firewalls, switches, and routers, ensuring consistent network performance and security.
Provide occasional onsite support at local data centers for maintenance activities as needed.
Offer strong desktop support services to remote users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues effectively.
Utilize OKTA for multi-factor authentication (MFA) management and provide support for company email
Work comfortably in a remote environment, supporting users across multiple locations and time zones.
Monitor network and system performance using tools like LogicMonitor, CloudVision, and Prometheus, ensuring the health and stability of the infrastructure.
Communicate clearly and efficiently with both technical and non-technical staff, escalating issues when necessary for timely resolution.
Mature monitoring and operational readiness
Requirements
At least five (5) years of professional experience showing demonstrable experiences in troubleshooting remote user issues, especially VPN connectivity.
Strong understanding of network devices, including firewalls, switches, and routers such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco
Experience with OKTA, GMAIL services, and network monitoring tools like LogicMonitor, CloudVision, or Prometheus.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of network-related responsibilities within the region.
Willingness to visit data centers occasionally for hands-on maintenance tasks.
Excellent desktop support skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve user issues remotely within the region, as the global team continues to expand and evolve its 24x7 support model.
Strong communication skills and the ability to escalate problems when appropriate.
Bonus Points:
Experience with cloud environments (especially AWS) and the ability to troubleshoot and support EC2 instances and VPC communication.
