Neonatologist job description

Currently seeking a 5th neonatologist to join our growing Neonatology practice. New fellowship grads ase welcome to apply. Elliot Health System has a dynamic and thriving established 34- bed level 3 NICU that cares for over 650 infants per year. Our group currently contains 4 neonatologists and 9 NNP/PAs. The group is hard-working and collegial. Clinical attributes of our unit include:

1. ) Advanced respiratory care practices (Volume Targeted Ventilation, High Frequency Ventilation, Inhaled Nitric Oxide)

2. ) Whole Body Hypothermia/Cooling on Transport

3.) Regional Transport Team

4.) NICU Follow Up Program

5.) Robust quality improvement initiatives (current programs: Reducing chronic lung disease, growth optimization and feeding practices of ELBW, feeding readiness protocol, transport education, golden hour protocol)

6.) Opportunities for development of QI/clinical research projects

Subspecialties supporting the NICU include pediatric surgery and pediatric anesthesia, pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology, pediatric GI, pediatric nephrology and an active high-risk MFM service.

We feature a desirable work schedule that is targeted for optimal work-life balance. Clinical service is 1:5 on a weekly basis with 7 days on service. Call is from home as our experienced NNP/PA cover in house 24/7.

Our group has a history of academic productivity including presentations at local, regional and national conferences and recent clinical article publication.

Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit participates in the Vermont Oxford Network as well as Team STEPPS to ensure best patient outcomes. Neonatology Opportunity:Bozeman Health seeks a seasoned clinical Neonatologist. This position is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced physician to provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the clinical, quality and financial objectives.

There is growth potential and developing need for additional services as we plan for implementation of level 3 NICU status over the next 3 years.

Bozeman Health delivers more than 1,200 babies each year and offers complete family-focused care. Our NICU currently offers level 2 status and has been operational since October, 2020. Our neonatology team works collaboratively with Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pediatric physicians. We believe in a team-based approach to care using evidence-based principles of health care.

The ideal candidate will possess Neonatology experience and preferable experience in a leadership role in a NICU and strong skills in developing policy and procedure. Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required. This is a full-time position with shared clinical and administrative responsibilities and will include clinical time. Hospital facts:Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is a 125-bed facility, with 10 OR suites, 20 CCU beds, and 26 ED beds. Our newly opened Women's Tower holds 17 postpartum beds, 2 antepartum beds, 8 labor & delivery suites, 10 newborn nursery beds and 10 NICU beds.

The hospital has level III ACS Trauma Center designation and is accredited. There are approximately 260 physicians on the medical staff representing a broad spectrum of both medical and surgical specialties. Compensation and benefits:This is a hospital-employed salaried position with an additional quality incentive compensation. This position also includes a comprehensive benefit package including: health, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, paid malpractice, and $3500 for CME and paid medical licensing/ABIM dues/DEA expenses.
