What You Will be Doing:
Caring for children between ages 6 weeks and 13 years (based on your experience) in homes, daycare centers and preschools, and events like weddings and business meetings
Engaging in age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities for the duration of care
Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in your care
Preparing meals and snacks for children during care
Performing clean-up of kitchen and play areas after use (with age-appropriate assistance!)

Who You Are:
2+ years of proven childcare experience as a nanny, babysitter, teacher, or equivalent
Excellent understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities

Ability to follow established routines and schedules
Authorization to work in the United States

About the Opportunity
The primary responsibility of a Behavior Specialist is to implement consistent evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis programs to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other co-morbid developmental disabilities in response to the recommendations of the Clinical Leader and Clinical Director in the home, center and/or other natural settings whose permanent RBT provider is not available to cover hours or a session.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions, unless time-off has been granted or the parents of the client have communicated to the clinical team that they would not like for the hours to be provided.
Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain the productivity margin if a session is cancelled by the family. Subbing sessions will fall on Saturdays and within the employee's availability.
Additional hours or sessions may be assigned by the Regional leadership within employee's availability.
Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans in response to the direction provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader and/or other clinical staff in order to improve the behavior and skill acquisition of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Travels to Center, Home, and other community settings to deliver services.
Subbing sessions will primarily take place in the regional centers
Renders completed sessions daily and writes thorough notes
Communicates schedule changes and cancellations to clinical team immediately.
Participates in regular meetings and promptly communicates with Clinical Leaders/Clinical Directors via email and phone, regarding Treatment Plans and Behavioral Intervention Plans, family concerns and questions.
Fulfills the timely completion of necessary clinical documentation and communication of:
Daily Treatment Session Notes
Daily Treatment Target Data
Daily (If applicable) Behavior Data.
Keeps updated with other site-related documents and current clinical reports for each child served.
Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in special education and related fields.
Attends staff meetings, in-services, trainings, and other meetings as requested.

What Your Days Will be Like:
As a Caregiver within our Care for Business team, you will have the opportunity to care for children of multiple families in your area! You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children under your care. Our team will automatically place you in jobs based on your experience, location, and availability!
Conduct Intro Calls with each family you're booked with
Care for children in their homes, typically an 8-hour day
Abide by and follow the schedule and rules set forth by parents
Perform household duties relating to the care you provide; i.e. cleaning up after meals, doing dishes, and cleaning up after activities
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Must be 18 years or older
Minimum of 1 weekday availability to work (at least 8 consecutive hours between 6am-8pm)
Related childcare experience
Reliable transportation to reach families' homes and ability to travel up to 15 miles from your home
Adult, Infant, and Pediatric CPR/First Aid Required prior to start date (will provide reimbursement for certification)
Familiarity and ability to use app-based products and electronic devices
Authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at one time
Exposure to mildly sick children
Compensation Range: $19 to $21 hourly. The base compensation range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position.
Actual compensation may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
The range listed is just one component of Care.com's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
