Oversee the professional growth and development of our service group's Architectural staff. This would include conducting monthly one-on-one meetings with technical staff to discuss progress and assign longer-term projects that encourage professional growth.
Manage team technical skill sets and capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and set annual development goals.
Assist Project Managers with proposals, focusing on scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful project execution.
Complete quarterly reports on hiring, efficiency, turnover, project performance, and quality. Oversee staff project assignments to achieve the corporate goal of 80% staff utilization.
Develop strong strategic alliances with sub-consultants to enhance service offerings.
Maintain a professional network of industry peers to identify and attract potential talent.
Collaborate with Project Managers to identify opportunities for expanding into new technical areas, including different building types, innovative designs, and specialized services such as energy modeling and 3D scanning.
Actively participate in industry events, including speaking at regional conferences and writing technical articles and submitting projects for awards, with support from the marketing department.
Oversee the establishment and maintenance of technical quality standards for our team. and ensuring standards are consistently met. Manage resource loading for upcoming projects.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited or NCARB certified institution
Proven experience managing a technical team within a collaborative, matrixed environment.
Registered Architect or PE licensed is preferred

The selected candidate may serve in multiple roles including a Project Manager, Senior Technical Advisor, and Client Development Lead on environmental projects as well as work closely with professionals in engineering, water quality, hydrology, stormwater planning, compliance monitoring, and geosciences to successfully deliver projects to FNI clients in our Central Plains Division. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on projects for federal, state, and local government clients as well as private sector clients throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
The successful candidate will be someone who works well in a team environment, is responsive, and has strong communication and technical writing skills with expertise in one or more of the following fields:
* Ecological Services - Environmental and biological surveys, Section 404 permitting, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation
* Water Quality Services - Environmental water quality and stormwater compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations (municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4), Construction, and Industrial)
* Geoscience Services - Environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, and risk-based environmental cleanups
Preferred candidates should have direct experience in one or more of the following areas:

Provide guidance to project teams and mentoring junior estimators

Job Description
AECOM has an opening for an entry level Geologist in our Cincinnati, Ohio office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation. The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve preparation of investigation reports.
This position is expected to begin in May 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and remediation system data; soil logging; and fluid level gauging.
Oversight of contractors conducting field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.
Participation in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training.
Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.
Supporting office tasks, including data entry, data analysis, report preparation, and maintenance of a records archive system.
Collect and record data and compare results to relevant studies and state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work will be required including oversight of subcontractors.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Chemistry.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and a substance abuse test.
Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of environmental regulations such as ASTM-1527-21, AAI, Ohio VAP, RCRA, BUSTR, TSCA, and SARA
Ability to understand and supervise advancement of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells.
Ability to demonstrate a primary technical role in multiple site characterization, subsurface investigation, and remediation projects at various client sites.
Understand and assist with site conceptual models.
Collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings.
Prepare investigation reports and drawings.
Possesses technical report writing skills.
Independent field work and leadership of field teams.
Contractor oversight.
Selected candidate will be required to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training or annual refresher class, if needed.
Selected Candidate will also receive First Aid/CPR training and AECOM specific training.
Learn and develop a keen understanding of hazard recognition, and environmental investigation or remediation.
Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; MS Word and MS Excel.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Cincinnati, Ohio. The selected candidate must be available to work in Cincinnati, Ohio on a scheduled basis.
75-80% field work is required.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Scientist to join our EHS Department in either our Cincinnati, OH or Minneapolis, MN offices. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for EHS compliance, reporting, permitting, and environmental field sampling/monitoring. The successful candidate will have enough experience to be able to independently conduct field work and prepare the associated reports for a wide variety of national / international private and public sector clients across the United States.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

AECOM is actively seeking a Fire Protection Engineer II. For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work on our hybrid schedule being a combination of in office time and remote work. This person would be seated in our Arlington, VA office.
Prepare deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates related to fire protection engineering.
Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
Serve as a fire protection engineer in design or site survey tasks as required.
Design of fire detection, fire suppression and emergency signaling systems equipment and procedures in accordance with all applicable governing Codes and Standards and industry best practices.
Development of performance-based design analyses utilizing fire protection engineering principles, code analyses, consultation with authorities having jurisdiction, computer-based fire modeling, egress calculations, and other available resources as necessary to suit the specific of each application.
Creation of fire detection and emergency signaling system design and layout plans, schematics, equipment specifications, supporting design calculations, system narratives, and construction specifications.
Creation of fire suppression system design criteria, specifications and layouts, preliminary hydraulic calculations, fire pump selection specifications, and fire detection system integration.
Creation of special hazard fire protection designs, including but not limited to aspirating and beam-type smoke detection, video imaging detection, flame detection, suppression system monitoring and control and smoke control system integration.
Creation of integration designs between life safety and building services systems as required to comply with all applicable codes, standards and system operating objectives, including but not limited to information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening.
Valid US Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in the field of Fire Protection Engineering.
Exceptional knowledge in fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety aspects of building design.
Proficient with various codes and standards including the IBC and NFPA codes as well as experienced working with local code amendments and government standards such as the UFCs and P100.
Experienced in working as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with others to accomplish a complete project design.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to travel both locally and abroad for project needs approximately once every couple months. (Less than 20% of your time)
Experienced with Revit and AutoCAD as well as other relevant design tools.

What You'll Do:
As a Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the design, development, and successful execution of major transportation projects across Indiana. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and Manage Projects: Take ownership of projects from start to finish, leading roadway design and plan preparation for highway projects while ensuring they are on track and within budget.
Drive Project Success: Collaborate with your team, report progress to transportation leaders, and ensure smooth project execution through effective scheduling, coordination, and progress reporting.
Shape Proposals and Estimates: Develop compelling project proposals and accurate cost estimates that position us as a leader in the industry.
Innovate and Collaborate: Partner with your team to bring creative ideas to the table, offering strategic insights that set us apart from our competitors.
Shape the Future: Your leadership and technical expertise will directly influence the future of transportation infrastructure, making a lasting impact on communities across Indiana.
What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience
BSCE from an ABET-accredited College or University.
Proven experience in the professional design and preparation of plans for both interstate and local road/street projects.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred (or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment).
Skills & Knowledge:
A passion for teamwork, innovation, and driving project success!
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
Strong knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and INDOT standards (preferred)
Familiarity with Alternative Delivery Projects is a plus
Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads (preferred, but not required)
