The MRI Supervisor may perform a variety of scanning sequences and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical details as needed. Supervise and perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed radio frequency pulsed sequences for MRI diagnosis. Assume responsibility for designated area, procedures, scheduling of work assignments, and coordinating requests for service. Requirements: Assign, direct, and coordinate the activities of employees' schedules, orients, trains, assure observance of policies, procedures, and work standards, check work for proper completion and apply corrective action as needed. Assist with interviews of applicants for staff positions to ensure applicants meet criteria for the position. Confer with and provide input to the technical director regarding employee job performance, morale, staffing, work methods, procedures, related personnel matters, and equipment performance. Perform counseling and corrective action as needed. Recommend promotions, discipline, and other administrative actions. Perform employee evaluations. Responsible for handling and/or providing input to the technical director about all technical problems within or related to the various diagnostic imaging modalities. Oversee and coordinate equipment maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly and providing reliable and accurate diagnostic images via contact with vendors, service contracts, preventative maintenance, and quality control. Understand, implement, monitor, and control policies, protocols, and procedures, including those related to safety and precautions.
