MRI Technologist - Part Time The physicians of Valley Radiology Consultants have been serving the North San Diego County area since 1971. offer our patients a full range of imaging services in two outpatient centers in Poway and Escondido. Our group of physicians is accompanied by a dedicated support staff of radiology technologists, administrative assistants and management personnel, and we would like for you to join our team as a Per Diem status MRI TECHNOLOGIST. As an outpatient clinic, all hours worked will be daytime hours with no call, and we are closed on Sundays and major holidays! Valley Radiology clinics are open Mon - Fri 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, and some Saturdays, so Per Diem shifts can be flexible, and will be scheduled during those times. Valley Radiology has 2 locations in Escondido, CA and Poway, CA Responsibilities: As an MRI Technologist at Valley Radiology, your primary role is caring for our patients by performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and other imaging modalities. Education & Licensure • Graduate of a 2-year accredited school of Radiologic Technology or comparable training. Current ARRT certification in MRI • Venipuncture Certification • BLS Certification Work Experience • MINIMUM 2 YEARS MRI experience in a busy imaging center. • Experience in an outpatient Radiology clinical setting preferred. The physicians and staff at Expert MRI are among California's most knowledgeable and experienced at diagnosing orthopedic and traumatic brain imaging. The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Observes patient through window of control room and on closed circuit TV screen to monitor patient safety and comfort and communicates regularly with patient to assure comfort and compliance. Views images of area being scanned on video monitor to ensure quality of acquisition datasets. Modify pulse sequence parameters as needed to achieve optimal results. Moves DICOM datasets to destinations and storage per policy and procedure. Alerts and controls access to anyone about to enter magnet room to danger of wearing or carrying metal around magnet. Acts as a gatekeeper to maintain a safe environment. Participates in the training of MRI students in their clinical rotation as needed. Education/Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. We have an exciting opportunity available in our Chula Vista location for a compassionate and service oriented Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to join our team! The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for completing Initial work up of patients such as gathering and documenting chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, and past family and social history. Will perform initial patient assessments to determine the ophthalmic status of each patient. May scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examination. Contributes to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care. Responsibilities Escort all patients from the waiting room for data collection. Following testing, advise them as to who will see them next and regularly check on patients to ensure they are comfortable while they are waiting. Educate all new patients regarding office procedures. Inform patients of the purpose of all tests performed and how they will be affected during the tests. Obtain patient histories, perform prescription verification, and maintain records. Assist in testing patient vision. Test far and near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception. Intraocular pressure measurement with Tonometer. Apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes. Preparing patients for imaging and physician exam. Prepping patients for ophthalmic procedures, including intraocular injections. Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the physician. Communicate with reception and lead to facilitate proper patient flow. Comply with all HIPPA regulations in all interactions with patient information Qualifications Experience with taking patient history, evaluating patient problems, and providing complete documentation in patient record. Electronic medical record scribing Diagnostic Imaging Ability to sterilize and maintain ophthalmology equipment and supplies in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Strong ability to communicate courteously and effectively with the public and medical personnel. General knowledge of (and high standards of) laboratory hygiene, biohazard handling, and universal precautions. Bilingual Spanish and English highly desired.
