SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for creating, developing, and implementing, in coordination with Merit's Sales and National Accounts organizations, successful sales and relationship-building strategies with key clinical, administrative, and executive personnel within targeted Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN's) and Health Systems.
Job Description
1. Develop, establish, and maintain strategic working relationships with targeted IDN's at an executive level.
2. Negotiate shared value agreements with targeted, strategic IDN customers.
3. Leverage and expand market penetration of Merit Medical products.
4. Align IDN strategies with GPO agreements.
5. Represent and interpret national GPO contracts within all key IDN customers; meet with national GPO customers to review existing agreements and to identify/target sales opportunities.
6. Develop working relationships with Merit Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
7. Provides economic buyer sales training to Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
8. Identify strategic opportunities for market expansion through Shared Value IDN agreements.
9. Represent Merit at targeted GPO and IDN-related industry meetings and conferences; promote products and educate internal and external customers.
10. Performs other sales related duties, as required.
SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
• A minimum of seven years of related medical sales/marketing/clinical experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability interact and develop relationships with executives of medical facilities and key IDN customers.
• Ability to learn and understand the clinical use and application of Merit Medical products.

$135,000-$165,000 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Responsibilities:

As the Commercial Loan Officer, you'll proactively build, develop, and manage a commercial loan portfolio. You'll work to increase and maintain its asset quality by developing new and existing business relationships. You're a trusted voice for our members and will identify and align new and existing loan members with additional products and services.
After one year, you'll know you are successful if:
You developed and maintained credible relationships with our members. You may even know their coffee order, pets' names, and kids' sports schedules.
You have been instrumental in developing quality loans for the commercial portfolio and supporting business development efforts.
You can provide feedback on approving or denying loans and demonstrate the ability to explore options for members when loans are denied.
You perform work responsibilities consistent with the Business Loan Policy, Lending Procedures, and compliance requirements of the Credit Union.

Essential Duties of the Commercial Loan Officer Include :
Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing members. Develops, expands, and services commercial loan portfolio. Position requires officer to solicit new business and grow their loan portfolio member base.
Answer questions related to business loans and account activity. Determine s members' business and personal financial services needs and responsible for cross-selling of credit union's services and products.
Will complete underwriting, establish, and negotiate terms under which credit will be extended including costs, repayment terms, and collateral requirements.
Ensure that sound analysis and lending procedures are followed. Act in compliance with Business Lending and Business Account Policies and Guidelines at all times. Ensure Regulatory Compliance is followed in all areas of work. Recommends loan policy changes as necessary
Evaluate the information provided by the business borrower. Assist members, when possible, on business management and financial matters.
Verify the accuracy of business loan amounts and repayment terms on approved loan applications. Process commercial loan files, including reviewing loan documents, obtaining title insurance, appraisals, appraisal reviews, inspections, flood paperwork, filing lien documents, and preparing loan files for closing.

This is a full-time role. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Some business development activities may occur outside standard hours. This is an on-site opportunity. The starting pay range is $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually, plus incentive, depending on experience.
Requirements
Commercial Loan Officer Education and Experience: To thrive in this role, you should have at least 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or business loan officer and feel comfortable soliciting new business and maintaining current business relationships. A bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent is required, and ongoing education or training may be required.
