Health Center Mentor Faculty Salary Range: $68,000 - $80,000 annually Full-Time, Exempt 40 hours per week Fully Onsite Position in Bellevue, Nebraska Essential Job Responsibilities: Manage a full-time chiropractic practice within the teaching clinic at Life West Instruct interns and ensure that patient care including history, exams, x-rays & other imaging studies, adjustments, ancillary care, and referrals are performed within the accepted standards of care and in accordance with the law in the state of Nebraska, Federal Regulation, and the Life West Health Center policies and procedures. Must be available in the Health Center during scheduled hours, including 30 hours per week in Health Center care with an additional 5-10 hours in meetings and/or other college activities Participate in Health Center outreach with interns, local service, and international service opportunities Monitor the progress of the interns to ensure competency Lead intern pod meetings to manage the practice effectively Scheduled hours include any of the following: PDCS; Oversight of patient care in Student and Outpatient Clinic; Intern Assessments; In-class instruction and assistance in our Clinically Inspired Learning program; oversight in X-ray Imaging Participate in Health Center Competency testing & report at-risk students Participate in a combination of areas in the Health Center to ensure the smooth operation of Student Health Center, Outpatient Health Center, and Academic Instruction. Participate in Health Center faculty development activities & faculty meetings during scheduled hours. Participate in committees and in the planning and implementation of strategies to improve teaching at the Life West Health Center Teach and assess required skills and competencies as described by the CCE and per Life West protocols. Work with the Life West Admin Team and Chiropractic Assistants to provide exceptional patient care Oversee Medicare patients within their pod and manage care based on Medicare compliance guidelines Qualifications: Must have a D.C. degree from a CCE-accredited chiropractic college Must have a minimum of five years chiropractic practice experience Must have a current license to practice chiropractic in the state of Nebraska Must have a clear record with the State Board of Nebraska as well as all other states in which licenses were held Familiarity with Microsoft Office & Google Familiarity with ChiroTouch is preferred, but training is available Teaching experience is preferred.
