Mental Health Therapist
The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing clinically necessary mental health services to identified children and their families at designated schools or community settings. The Mental Health Therapist will work as part of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) and will report to the program manager. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related human service. * Provides assessments to teen and baby during intake, exit from the program, and other data points using professional observation and standardized instruments. Facilitates referrals to community agencies for teen parents and their children related to complex needs to include trauma-related services, Part C/Early Intervention Early Steps, and mandatory reporting to the abuse registry as required by law.
* Works collaboratively with team members through on-going communication, coordination of services, and weekly team meetings. Participates in reflective supervision to discuss cases and plan intervention strategies based on the Minding the Baby model. Participates in the Young Parents Project Fatherhood Initiative to include young fathers as project participants.

Health Promotion
Conducts outreach activities in target communities to provide and promote agency services.
Actively assists supervisor in identifying new venues and testing sites to conduct activities.
Performs promotional and educational activities to link participants to Agency services.

Testing and Counseling
Provides pre and post test counseling for HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and health screenings as required.
Performs HIV and STI testing on clients by drawing blood, securing a blood, urine, or saliva sample (OraSure or OraQuick Advance) and follows all manufacturer's instructions for the testing technology used.
Performs health screenings (i.e. blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol) as instructed.

The CARE Center at Barry University is currently seeking two part time Independent Licensed Mental Health Counselors for a temporary grant-funded assignment. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor is a funded position through The Children's Trust grant. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor is an integral part of the CARE Center and provides Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to parents/caregivers and children (ages 6-18) who have experiences traumatic experiences. TF-CBT sessions are provided through the CARE center at Barry University in-person and virtually. The goal is to help children and families develop the skills they will need to promote meaningful healing and development. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is delivered as weekly 40-50-minute sessions over three to seven months depending on the level of need. Counseling sessions may center on the mental health and conflicts within the family. Standardized tools and evidence-based therapeutic models and psycho-educational interventions can be used.
The clinician in this position will administer assessments and will provide mental health counseling using the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach aimed at assisting children and their caregivers or parents in addressing post-traumatic stress and associated emotional and behavioral issues. If the licensed mental health professional (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) lacks TF-CBT certification, this position requires mandatory training paid by the grant for the clinician to be certified (TF-CBT) to meet the grant requirements.
This is a grant-funded, part-time, in-person position
Essential Functions
Clinical responsibilities:
* Conducts weekly sessions in TF-CBT modality
* Administers pre- and post-assessments to clients
Administrative Responsibilities:
* Attends all staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, clinical team meetings, and other Divisional and University meetings as scheduled
* Completes clinical notes in a timely manner using Care Cloud

Psychiatric Supports and Treatment Services (CPST)

CPST services must be part of the treatment plan, which includes goals and activities necessary to correct or ameliorate conditions discovered during the initial assessment visits. CPST is a face-to-face intervention with the child/youth (required), family/caregiver or other collateral supports. Activities provided under CPST are intended to assist the child/youth and family caregivers to achieve stability and functional improvement in daily living, personal recovery and/or resilience, family and interpersonal relationships in school and community integration. Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)

Services assist with implementing interventions on a treatment plan to compensate for, or eliminate, functional deficits and interpersonal and/or behavioral health barriers associated with a child/youth's behavioral health needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Health Promotion
* Conducts outreach activities in target communities to provide and promote agency services.
* Actively assists supervisor in identifying new venues and testing sites to conduct activities.

Testing and Counseling

Candidate Requirements:
Compassionate, engaging, and have a strong desire to help others.
Education: Master's degree from an accredited university or college in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
Flexibility to provide services in client homes, schools, and other community settings.
Ability to flex hours to meet client scheduling needs.
Ability to learn and document in a robust electronic medical records platform.

Join the exclusive team of Department of Juvenile Justice providers! There are only 16 DJJ Teams in the state of Florida providing services to youth and families throughout the state.
As a clinician at Chrysalis Health with DJJ you will have the opportunity to provide individual and family therapy to a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. The Master's level Registered Intern practitioner provides mental health assessments, therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and/or any other identified clinical services deemed necessary to stabilize and improve the functioning of individuals served. They will function as clinical members of the DJJ Team. The DJJ Team supports clients ages up to 21 receiving treatment for co-occurring disorders.
Therapy sessions will be conducted in-person, we also offer telehealth options to provide flexibility and convenience for our clients. As a DJJ clincian you have the opportuntiy to fully support your small client base, approximately 12 clients based on need.
The DJJ Teams strive to help children and young adults with behavioral health concerns to recover at home safely. These teams also assist families in building and maintaining a support system within their community. the modality is a safe and effective alternative to out-of-home treatment or residential care for children with serious behavioral health conditions.

Qualificatons & Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
Current Florida Registern Internship number is required.
One year professional experience providing services to youth with behavioral health disorder preferred, internship experience applies to requirement, two years preferred.
Travel throughout the service area to best meet client needs, including homes and schools. *Mileage reimbursement.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
Must successfully complete all criminal background checks annually.
