JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Call and schedule new patients referred via all automated referral queues, fax, and mail the day the referral is received. * Identify high-priority patients from referral queues for immediate scheduling. * Perform the daily early morning schedule scrub to evaluate the openings and fill patients from the waitlist. * Identify HOLD patients on the waitlist; read the WAIT REASON and NOTES section to identify any patient that needs to be called that day. * Runs daily MIA report to identify patients to be called. * Calls and schedules new patients from the waitlist throughout each day. * Calls and schedules established patients from the waitlist per care plan daily. * Completed reminder calls the day before an appointment for any patient who has not shown up for their previous appointment. * Monitors schedule to fill vacancies immediately due to cancellations and no-shows. * Moves scheduled patients to alternative providers at the clinic to create openings to accommodate other patients with scheduling restrictions due to insurance rules, therapy needs, gender preferences, or other requirements. * Calls all no-show patients after 10 minutes of scheduled appointment time to reschedule or move to the waitlist. * Answers cancellation calls to assist patients in finding alternatives that will minimize future cancellations and maintain the intended number of appointments per plan of care each week. * Perform the daily early afternoon schedule scrub to evaluate the openings and fill patients from the waitlist. * Attends to Medicaid admission limitation policies. * Assist with other basic PSR duties as needed to facilitate front desk operational continuity and consistency. * Participate in all required monthly staff meetings.
