Medical Receptionist Essential Duties
Greet patients and visitors in a professional, prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
Check patients in & out for appointments.
Verify cash box each morning and reconcile at the end of each day; this includes printing a day sheet for each department to be turned in with reconciled deposit.
Answer telephone; may determine nature of phone call and refer to the appropriate person as necessary.
Input patient insurance information; updates/changes as necessary. Complete Good Faith Estimates.
Is alert for credit problems and verifies financial class status on patients.
Help answer the scheduling line, ensuring calls are answered in a timely manner
Work with other staff members to foster a team approach to the highest quality of patient care and staff cooperation.
Work collaboratively with the clinical team to promote continuity of patient care.
Maintain work area and lobby in a neat and orderly manner.
Perform other duties as required.

About The Role
The Specialist, Scheduling is responsible for optimizing the schedule of studies running at Altasciences' clinical sites. S/he collaborates with Business Development / Costing / Clinical Operations / Project Management / Research Services to prepare study timelines that meet client expectations and achieve budget targets.
What You'll Do Here
Attends BID meeting to stay informed on proposed dates and moving schedules.
Attends Proposal Strategy Meetings (PSM) and drafts project timelines to support opportunities pre-award
Provides timelines to Costing as needed for budget creation in agreed to timeframes.
Maintains the clinical calendars and is cross trained on all 3 sites way of scheduling.
Responsible for creation of new projects in Altasciences' scheduling software and real-time maintenance of planned, revised and actual dosing dates
Develops full service timelines for start-up, clinical conduct and close out activities.
Develops timelines for multi-site opportunities.
Checks with the General Manager and study operations at each clinical site to ensure agreement on study placement.
Leads meetings related to study scheduling to address overlap and prioritization.
Proactively checks on emerging timelines for accuracy and if adjustment is needed.
Provides real-time, written updates to internal stakeholders when study, or individual cohort, dosing dates are modified.
What You need to Succeed
Bachelor or higher level degree preferred.
2 years of relevant experience.
Understanding of protocol design and how that translates to scheduling the clinic activities.

The pay range estimated for this position is $55,812 - $65,000 yearly. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.

Schedule patients to branch field clinicians. Communicate with field staff, patients, physicians, referral sources, caregivers, and other service providers in order to maintain proper care coordination and continuity of care. Qualifications
