You will perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. You will join a fast-paced work environment that encourages teamwork, quality, and offers opportunities for personal growth. In this position you'll be helping to sort, tag, and prepare the samples for testing. The samples that we work with are blood, urine, fecal samples, and biopsies that we receive from the vet clinics (no animals on-site!) Every sample you help to move along quickly and accurately in the process means we are one step closer to finding out how or why they might be sick. Thanks to you, someone's very beloved pet will get the treatment plan they need - how great is that? From this position, we will cross-train you across other areas of the lab. This is a full-time position with excellent, day-one benefits, and a generous shift differential. Want to see what it is like to work in our lab? Check out these videos from our lab employees talking about working at IDEXX: ****************************** In This Role: You will be using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. You will be performing diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or pet biopsy samples that we receive in our lab by the thousands, every day. You will be responsible for setting up and running lab tests and reading and releasing results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). You can expect to specialize in one or more of the following areas: Sample Management: Receive, preparing, and accession veterinary samples (blood, urine, feces, and biopsies) for laboratory analysis and testing. You can expect to remove specimens from transport bags and enter specimen data into a computer tracking system. You will rack and bundle prepared samples for delivery to each testing department.
