To that end, we dove into our dataset of job and salary numbers to figure out which states have the best opportunities for medical coders. Nevada is the best state for medical coders, where the median salary is $55,433.We found that the Midwest is best for medical coders, and the West is the worst. Trenton, NJ is the best city in the country for medical coder jobs, where as Nevada is the best state in the country.
