Position Overview:
Crown Food North America is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer (Front End) to join our team to support operations for the Food Division. This Manufacturing Engineer role would provide guidance as a Front End subject matter expert to our Food 2 piece Manufacturing facilities. The equipment would include cuppers, body makers, and trimmers as well as other production machinery. In addition, this position is responsible for designing, implementing, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes by analyzing product and manufacturing methods. In addition, this position requires maintaining quality and safety standards, document control, and supporting the engineering needs of the manufacturing facilities.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
Identifying areas of spoilage and make suggestions for corrective action to resolve the issues
Provide training and guidance to employees on equipment operation and troubleshooting

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirements
Seven (7) + years' experience in the Front End of a high-speed Beverage or Food metal packaging facility

Mechanical Engineer Job 30 miles from Rosemount
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
About the Role: Position will mainly focus on executing safety related improvements in an area supporting Electropolishing equipment and blasting equipment.
Job Purpose
Provides daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).
Key Responsibilities
1. Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure project success.
2. Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments.
3. Designs, procures, and fabricates equipment tooling and fixtures.
4. Performs troubleshooting on new and existing products/process problems as related to design, material, or processes.
5. Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from test results.
6. Completes and manages Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERA's).
7. Prepares standard reports/documents to communicate results to the technical community.
8. May lead cross-functional project teams.
9. Identifies, implements, and manages equipment requirements to support production goals.
10. Trains and/or provides work direction to operators/technicians.
Qualifications
2 Years with BS or 0-2 Years with MS
Automated process knowledge
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with manufacturing equipment including gantry systems.
2. Safety mindset with experience working with product builders.
3. Experience with electrochemical metal finishing processes.
