The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and servicing all trucks and trailers in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner. All commercial motor vehicle equipment must be repaired and maintained in accordance with FMCSA requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and company policies.
The successful mechanic will be knowledgeable in air systems, brakes, wiring, tires, and A/C for tractors and trailers. CDL, heavy inspection license and welding experience are a plus, but not required. Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all assigned inbound equipment. Diagnose and repair/replace mechanical and electrical systems according to established service criteria.
Hours:Hazmat is currently searching for qualified Diesel Mechanics to work 1st shift in our Buffalo, NY headquarters. The shift includes four 10-hour days Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat and offers shift differential for Saturday and Sunday.
Pay: $25-$33 per hour $1,000-$1,320/week

Position Summary

Summary As a Service Technician at Revel Leasing, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of multi-branded EVs. This position requires a passion for sustainable transportation and the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. You will adeptly handle minor and significant mechanical issues, conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and sustain comprehensive knowledge of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general electric vehicle systems. Your duties will encompass adhering to proper repair order documentation protocols and utilizing the appropriate software suite to record all vehicle interactions meticulously. Effective communication and collaboration with other service team members and various stakeholders within the Rideshare organization are crucial. Basic Requirements: * Completion of automotive school or an equivalent combination of experience and education. * Clean driving record. * Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs) * Experience working in a team-based environment and achieving common goals * Ability to work independently without supervision. * Ability to operate basic computer and mobile-based software. * Devotion to continual learning of vehicle processes and developing technologies, especially in the EV field. * Must be at least 21 years of age Pluses: * Vehicle wrapping experience. * NYC TLC experience. * ASE Certification * Experience with Fleet Management Systems.
