The Ride Maintenance Mechanics perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and annual rehabilitation of a variety of different amusement rides and attractions. Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to) maintenance of: gearboxes, chains, sprockets, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, wire rope, hoists, brakes, pumps, and large bearings. Assists in the repair and tracking of on-site equipment, vehicles and machinery. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair Receives training to advance the auto shop's skill set with vehicles and equipment. Possesses the willingness to repair Forest Home vehicles, equipment and machinery Utilizes CMMS for work order management, tracking and completion of all requests. Responsible for keeping inventory and tools organized and in good condition. Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions Assists in snow removal and other tasks as assigned including after normal work hours. Tracking Monitor vehicle registrations, smog certificates, servicing and maintenance records to ensure compliance and timeliness. Perform in assigned areas as related to our cmms. Safety Ensures facilities is in safe working condition and reports potential safety issues and recommends appropriate changes. Ensures tools and maintenance equipment are in working order and keeps maintenance buildings clean and organized. Operate different tools and equipment such as golf carts, company vehicles, heavy equipment, forklifts, etc. in a safe manner. Complies with factory specifications in relationship to equipment and material, and assures that all materials are handled according to factory recommendations and training.
