DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

**Our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking an** **Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 1** **to join our operations team,** **located in Clearfield, UT,** **working on major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers.**

**Position Requirements:**
**This position requires no previous knowledge or work history working on aircrafts. The candidate chosen will go through up to 6 weeks of training before hitting the shop floor. From there they will receive close supervision involving detailed and written instructions with checks on work performance.**
**What you'll get to do:**
**Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures**
**Performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.**
**Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.**
**Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.**
**Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.**
**Basic Qualifications:**
**High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)**
**Perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to** **include:** **lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, prolonged overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator, and working in awkward and/or confined spaces**

Salary Range: $17.45 - $29.09
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
